Antilles328 0 Report post Posted May 6, 2009 Injured defensemen. Check Bad shot selection by the Wings. Check Poor officiating. Check Pronger being an *******. Double Check. Sigh...
kylee 727 Report post Posted May 6, 2009 it sure does :/ wings being forced to take bad perimeter shots....the Ducks goalie looks huge in net...
Phazon 24 Report post Posted May 6, 2009 I told you 3 days ago. This is 2007. The series is over
Doc Holiday 0 Report post Posted May 6, 2009 You guys don't even remember that series if you are comparing the two. Game 3 of 2007 had the Wings wipe the floor with the Ducks before losing 3 straight. Ever think the opposite could happen this year?
VM1138 1,921 Report post Posted May 6, 2009 What a bulls*** game. Horrible reffing. But now the Wings have a chip on their shoulder and they play best when doing this. Anaheim is starting to get tired, worn out. Hiller is lights-out amazing, but Ozzie has been, too, for the most part. They've been one goal games so we can't fault either goalie yet. I felt some 2007 vibes with the bad calls and frustration. But this series is far from over.
RedWings4Life-JB 0 Report post Posted May 6, 2009 I'm getting sick of these fast wistles!!!!! And Pronger is a lil ******. Pick a fight with someone his size or at least don't blindside Datsyuk.
Dano33 41 Report post Posted May 6, 2009 (edited) I definately think not having Rafalski is our biggest issue. It makes everything flow so much better having that right-handed d-man on the powerplay. It creates so many more options having him back there. I am going to complain about officiating, but i'm not calling it a bias. It was just bad. The ducks interfere (especially neidermeyer) all the way down the ice, it's subtle, but its still interference. I'm so frustrated right now, i'm almost happy this game is over. The Wings better come back with some intensity, I know they are capable of it. Edited May 6, 2009 by Dano33
Reds4Life 51 Report post Posted May 6, 2009 No not 07. Wings showed no effort for 80+% of the game so they did not deserve to win. They are going to win the series if they show some effort, if they do not, then no refs or whatever matters.
Antilles328 0 Report post Posted May 6, 2009 LoL@ people trying to compare '07 with '09. How many clutch goals did Franzen have in '07 Playoffs? How many hits did Stuart have on '07 DRW Playoffs? How well did Ozzie play in '07 DRW Playoffs? How well did Ericsson in '07 NHL Playoffs? I bet non compare to 2009. People, please stop comparing.... you Red Wing fans, you should have more hockey knowledge than this! It's not identical to the 2007 series but it sure as hell feels like it. RedWings4Life-JB 0 Report post Posted May 6, 2009 If everyone on the team played with the Intensity that Helm and Stuart have been playing with we would be winning the series 3-0 easy. We need to step it up pronto!
NHLrules? 32 Report post Posted May 6, 2009 Whatever happened to the goalie pad size rules? Why does this league just make up rules they never intend to enforce then write more? What are they the federal goverment?
RedWings4Life-JB 0 Report post Posted May 6, 2009 LoL, if Refs just called the game right, Detroit would be up 3-0. Ducks are getting gifts, Detroit is getting raped. That's the difference. The point i was making is that if we would step up the intensity we wouldn't be in the position of being down 1 with a minute to go. Yes the refs blow, but we can normally overcome that by dominating.
