what can you expect out of trash? drunken idiots get a win over the team they hate the most and they act like the trash they are. It is just sad that the police in SoCal suck too because after reading what happened in the parking lot I am enraged... arrests should have been made. this is simply not acceptabel anywhere.... even the toothless hillbillys in nashville dont act like this.... but again the proximity to Mexico always plays a factor.

sorry but your comment is just ridiculous, there are thugs and people that do this everywhere, detroit is no different, and the proximity to mexico comment just goes to show how intelligent you are... keep it up genious

OK, let's get one thing straight, there were all sorts of a-holes there last night. Some were wearing Ducks jerseys, some were wearing Wings jerseys and one knucklehead with a Blackhawks jersey.

Why is lumping a few bad apples into the entire fan base acceptable? That is like saying all white people can't dance. Stereotyping will get you into trouble people.

I was standing in front of JT Schmidts minding my own business watching these two Wings fans harassing every Ducks fan that walked by. One guy was short and fat with a funny hat and the other had a jersey on. I kind of asked them to lay off when one walked up to me and said, "I am not even a hockey fan but I like the red Wings"! I was like, why are you bugging everyone then? He acted all cool until his drunk buddy walked up and started talking s***.

I saw just as many Ducks fans yelling at Wings fans, etc. I just don't get it. Some people are jsut born to be a-holes. I just don't like how all the fans are being lumped into one group. It just isn't accurate.

Lars - truthfully I believe a sporting event should be safe for everyone - period. No stereotypes, no "groups" no nothing. Flat out - no violence. I think it's ridiculous that any fans start crap with other fans.

Both sides had issues period. The issue is violence amongst the fans. It shouldn't be happening and that's really the issue at hand here.

I agree completely. Before the game, during practice, I witnessed a drunken Duck fan stand on top of a seat and scream some off color nastiness at Cleary and a couple of asst. coaches on the Wings bench. And I'm fairly sure this guy is just one of those SoCal bandwagon fans who has never seen a hockey game live before the Ducks struck it large. I was glad to see him escorted out, but disappointed that it had to come down to a security issue.

I must say, however, there were also some pretty nice Ducks fans sitting around me. I guess when you pay big bucks for a 3rd row seat, you intend on actually watching the game and having a good time. Still, after a few things I witnessed last night, I was a bit cautious walking back to my car alongside some heckling Ducks fans. Even though I am a guy, I went to the game alone and didn't really want the trouble that some of the home fans wanted to pull me into. I'm not that kind of fan. Think I'll just watch game 4 on TV.

Yep, that's the one... sorry I kept getting in the way of your pictures last night. Hope you still got some good ones of the war-up.

Welcome to the boards D!! :) It's nice to have you here! It's ok, I've got thousands of red wings pictures from over the years. I'm glad you decided to sign up.

Are you going to game 4?

Yeah that guy was a moron. I loved how he was all ripped and yelling and getting in the faces of the wings fans who weren't saying a word to him. I was like OMG he's going to crawl on the bench! WTG lol

No, I have been planning to help out with the youth group meetings at church for the next few months. Maybe for game 6, though?

That guy was pretty pathetic! I mean, there are kids around. Perhaps someday when that guy decides to contribute to the young community (or, any community, for that matter) he will stop acting like a primal idiot. When I got back to my car last night, there was a hostile note under the wiper warning me not to show off my Wings gear too much, that's when bad things happen. Needless to say, I got out of there as fast as possible. I'm not sure I've ever been scared leaving a game. This was surely a first for me. Even when I lived in Colorado the Avs fans seemed to look out for everyone around... on both sides. I just moved to SoCal about a month ago and, I have to say, that left a really bad taste in my mouth for sports in the area.

As I said before, though, there were some really nice Ducks fans sitting around me. Took pictures and all. One guy even split a bag of peanuts! And, I have been to some games at the Joe (and in Denver) where fans on both sides have been a bit on the rowdy side. But never like that guy during practice or a note.

I mean, you saw me... I'm a pretty big guy and can hold my own if it really came down to that. But, at a sporting event? That just seems a bit ridiculous for me. We go to be entertained, not to fight.

As funny as that is, I wonder what the proximity to Mexico would have anything to do with it. Are you suggesting swine flu caused this? Or drug cartels are infiltrating the NHL? Evidently your lack of proximity to Mexico is causing something.

Like someone said it is a mixture of alcohol and a pure hatred (probably greater then that towards the kings) that duck fans have against the wings.

still you cant excuse it.

Are you serious? That guy looks like Franzen's inept, drunken, no-talent brother-in-law or something.

Does he really have a Dos Equis patch or necklace on? Really? Nothing says 'I'm Billy badass, I drink and I came here to feck s*** up!' like tossin' down a few Dos Equis. Oy vey. Man up ******, have a Budweiser for pete's sake. And what's with the beads there River Dance. What is this Mardi Gras?

Look, the day you catch me in a photo with shiny beads around my neck is the day I'll have my junk surgically removed and you can start calling me Nancy.

It was pretty great... in a sad "I need this much attention" sort of way. And yes, Cleary wasn't looking at him LIKE anything... He was looking at him BECAUSE he was a drunken fool. Drinko de Mayo or not, that was too much!

I think all DUCK FANS should leave our forums.....

Classless people who are not civil at all .......

Maybe I should go down to JLA during GAME 5 and knock the piss out of the 1st DUCKS jersey I see

that way they can write how they got their asses handed to them in Detroit.

Pathetic really...and Thats why I WOULD NEVER DO IT. Being a fan is supposed to be Fun and entertaining.

Not a ALL OUT WAR!

f*** ALL DUCK FANS Go AWAY.......we dont want your brand of FAN-damonium here.

Whoa, there, buddy. I'm a huge Wings fan, and that crap happens on both sides... Just happened more on the Ducks side last night because there were more Ducks fans. I'm sure the drinking holiday also helped fuel the fire. I saw a bunch of Ducks fans hanging around the Wings bench during practice, and they were fine. It was just a couple (one in particular) that let things get out of control. Be more reasonable and realistic. If you would like people to take you seriously, you should think about coming across as something other than a raging angry fan, too.

I agree... this guy gives a bad name to fans on both sides, just proving the point I made earlier... Now, if you could just remove that pesky Selanne banner... (hehe)

I think where you sit has a lot to do with the type of Duck fans you're surrounded by...

Up in the club level it's a whole different world... everyone (with the exception of the jackass sitting directly behind us) was really cool and we all had a great time. You go downstairs and it's complete and utter chaos!!!

Some little kid dressed like duck was completely out of control and being restrained by (who I can only assume) his dad. Kind of reminded me of a rabid dog stuck on a leash...

Hoping that tomorrow night's game is better for the Wings (connect the pass!!!) as well as for their fans.
