If you start a new thread within two hours after a Wings game, specifically a loss, YOU ARE WRONG.

genius! So fragile, Havlat. Do hope he's OK, of course.

Not a misconduct, BTW.

edit: Not a photoshopper, wish I was that talented, but here is Havlat's version of the Cup:

Fragile, handle with care!!

"The one thing I love about Datsyuk, and there is much to love, is that no other player is like him. And, at least in recent history, it's hard to think of any player who has really been like him. He is a unique freak of nature in how he stick checks and operates in tight quarters. It's amazing how he deceives people from a stand-still position or when he isn't moving very fast. He is hockey's David Blaine."  -- John Buccigross

Very good.

I like the one with the train #55 as well, but I have a special appreciation for this one as it covers the points of why it was a CLEAN hit.

My money on the board pledge:

$1 for each goal scored by a player after whom I have named a hamster.

An additional $5 for each hat trick scored by a player after whom I have named a hamster.

An additional $10 if any of the above goals is the GWG goal that gives us the series win.

An additional $50 if it is the GWG that wins us the Cup.

$5 for a SO by Jimmy.

Hamsters' names (current players in RED):  Henrik Pavel Tomas Nicklas Dominik

                                                                      Niklas Matthieu Daniel Robert

                                                                      Johan Andreas Valtteri Jonathan

                                                                      Andrew Patrick Ian Todd

And introducing:  Jordin Damien Gustav James

TOTAL SO FAR: $27

And now a word from our legal department: The photo on the right is not an actual photo of Chris Chelios. It is an approximation of his age at the time in question and is used for comparative purposes only. Do not send it to him to be autographed. Age is approximate based on full-term pregnancy, and may vary from actual length of gestation.

Actually, Cheli was a couple months old when Chicago won the last time. He was born in January of 1961 and the Hawks won in either March or April - the season was much shorter back then with only 6 teams. So he wasn't in utero, although he was a wee one.

Well, we're both a little bit right. He was born in 1962, which is what I had used to figure his age, but you are correct that the 1961 series was played in April (6th -16th to be exact).

Nuts. I guess that wasn't as cool as I thought it was. He wasn't even in existence yet. Can we just keep it as a joke?
