10 Minute Misconduct 104 Report post Posted May 17, 2009 I suspect he wouldnt have returned if he was really injured in the first place. He might have just left with two mins left kto get more treatment knowing we had it in the bag.
dat's sick 1,002 Report post Posted May 17, 2009 I might get flamed for saying this, but the way he's playing right now they might as well let him rest a game if he's not feeling a 100%. Give Leino a chance.
Jake Ryan 1 Report post Posted May 17, 2009 I might get flamed for saying this, but the way he's playing right now they might as well let him rest a game if he's not feeling a 100%. Give Leino a chance. I agree. If I were the coach, I'd take out Hossa and Datsyuk. Bring up Steven Holmstrom and Jergen Holmstrom to play with their older brother, Tomas. The HX3 line could dominate all of the rest of the playoffs. Hossa had a run of puck handling at the end of the game where he got his 3 times, cross checked twice, and hooked the whole time, but still managed to rag it for a good 10-15 seconds. Hossa and Datsyuk back check and forecheck and neutral zone check better than everyone except Zetterberg, but because they don't score 2 points a game because of Ninety-SUX, everyone thinks they're not doing anything valueable. Typical HHO syndrome.
Shaman 713 Report post Posted May 17, 2009 Well seeing as the Trainer didnt go back there with him, I believe it was a skate issue.

Give Leino a chance. I won't flame you for it, but I wouldn't do that because you've got to think Hossa and Datsyuk are going to start playing great any game now. titanium2 867 Report post Posted May 17, 2009 You don't want to break up the Zetterberg or Filppula line. The Draper line is doing better than average. But the Datsyuk line is quite disappointing. Babs said that he will consider a switch if things don't start going in for them. I guess we'll wait and see.

Typical HHO syndrome. You really need to lay off Holmstrom. You sound like a fool everytime you place the blame squarely on his shoulders. It seems like your anger is clouding your judgement quite a bit, and making you forget about all the great things Homer has done for this team over the years. You're bagging on him for his lack of production in the second round alone, and then defending Pavel and Hossa because of what they've did over the course of the year. I really don't get it. The obvious change imo, if you don't want to break up the 2nd and 3rd line, is to move Helm up with Pav and Hossa and put Homer on the 4th line.

Broken 16 381 Report post Posted May 17, 2009 (edited) I gotta say... I'm shocked at how s***ty Hossa continues to look offensively. (I know Jake Ryan... HHO. I get it.) Edited May 17, 2009 by Broken
Jake Ryan 1 Report post Posted May 17, 2009 +1 , but I gotta say Homer had good moments too YOU watched the game. I'm not saying Holmstrom is the worst player in the league. I'm simply saying he's on the wrong line and probably shouldn't be playing much 5 on 5.
KronwallCRUNCH 5 Report post Posted May 17, 2009 Like Datsyuk, Hossa is still getting chances, just not converting. We're scoring goals and getting offense from other sources; what's the problem?

I dont disagree, He can use his body well when protecting the puck, But i cant count how many times today i said to myself.. wdf are you doing homer? I think out of all the Forwards he's being the least productive. I've been kind of disappointed in Justin. He's playing way to shy. He's staying out of the penalty box which is great. But his tentativeness is throwing him off his game. Even if Lilja does return, I cant see him replacing Lebda.. Lebda is doing pretty good, and taking him out for a player who hasn't played in lord knows how long wouldn't be the right change.

There isn't one, people just need to find something to be angry about no matter the circumstances. Until the Wings start losing, who cares where the goals are coming from? Give Leino a chance. Get over Leino already. There's no reason to bring him up. We're getting enough scoring and there's no telling whether Leino with be effective or not. Yeah... I guess you might get flamed for saying something like that, but that's because it's completely unnecessary. Hossa isn't playing poorly, he's just not finding the back of the net. Hey while we're at it... why not bring Leino in for Datsyuk...
