Psychlone 0 Report post Posted May 29, 2009 so did my NHL09!!!!! awesome!!!! One note from the article though: he WhatIf computer ran the simulations with the assumption that injured Red Wings stars Nicklas Lidstrom and Pavel Datsyuk will return to the lineup for Game 1 on Saturday. However, if either player were to miss multiple games, it could be enough to push the probability in Pittsburgh's favor since Detroit was given only a small margin of victory in winning the series. Datsyerberger 279 Report post Posted May 29, 2009 (edited) This explains why it's only 53.2%: goaltender Chris Osgood will post a .878 save percentage. LOLOLOLOLOL That would be by far Ozzie's worst numbers in a playoff series. Wtf were they using, his regular season stats as a benchmark? Seriously though, if the computer is predicting us to win with goaltending that awful... Edited May 29, 2009 by Datsyerberger

Theophany 110 Report post Posted May 29, 2009 Fleury needed to make only 15 saves for the win. A laughable stat; we've been getting 38+ shots per game against teams that are far stronger defensively than the Pens. If we beat the Hawks, who have a stronger defense (IMO) than the Pens, I have no worries about the Pens. With Lids and Big Rig back in game 1 or 2, we'll be fine.
