Computer Simulation Picks Red Wings to Repeat

so did my NHL09!!!!! awesome!!!!

One note from the article though:

he WhatIf computer ran the simulations with the assumption that injured Red Wings stars Nicklas Lidstrom and Pavel Datsyuk will return to the lineup for Game 1 on Saturday. However, if either player were to miss multiple games, it could be enough to push the probability in Pittsburgh's favor since Detroit was given only a small margin of victory in winning the series.

This explains why it's only 53.2%:

goaltender Chris Osgood will post a .878 save percentage.

LOLOLOLOLOL

That would be by far Ozzie's worst numbers in a playoff series. Wtf were they using, his regular season stats as a benchmark?

Seriously though, if the computer is predicting us to win with goaltending that awful...

Fleury needed to make only 15 saves for the win.

A laughable stat; we've been getting 38+ shots per game against teams that are far stronger defensively than the Pens.

If we beat the Hawks, who have a stronger defense (IMO) than the Pens, I have no worries about the Pens. With Lids and Big Rig back in game 1 or 2, we'll be fine.
