Bad giveaway and Ozzy should've had that, but oh well. Maybe I'm not as upset since Fedotenko scored... :P

I'm surprized there isn't a "missed call" counter on this site during the games...

Computers can only count so high.

need to cut down on turnovers. otherwise good period. we were the better team. too bad stuart and ozzy teamed up to get the pens on the board.

if we take care of the puck, we'll be looking good.

hey stuart and kronwall: NO MORE GIVEAWAYS IN THE DEFENSIVE ZONE! especially when malkin or crosby are on the ice.

Welcome back, mindfly.

Thank you.

For real, they can't be pleased with this period, this was far from red wings hockey *trademark*

great get to listen to blah blah blah penguins blah blah blah penguins during intermission

It's damn aggrevating. When they showed that clip of all the hits...all they did was show the hits the penguins had. It's bulls***. The NHL and BITCHmen want the Penguins to win so bad it's god damn painful.

I think crosby is sitting in the locker room thinking to himsef "ooo i got zetterberg im so good" but i think somebody will flatten him next period when he is least expecting it

If Hossa manages to hit crosby into next week and score a goal, I will buy his jersey Tonight. Doesn't matter if he re-signs or leaves lol

That was a bad play by Stuart. Its basic geometry. If you clear the puck off the boards only halfway up, that puck is going straight to the middle of the ice at the point.

I know it's no excuse, but you can tell the puck was caught on the tip of the stick when he went to go clear it which cause him to short arm it. It's basic geometry with advanced visual concepts thrown in.

Not going to hammer Ozzy on that, he's been spectacular all playoffs for us. The puck shoulda been cleared anyway. Wings looked a bit better, Pens definitely playing better than they did last year, although I think we are handling them pretty darn well. Crosby and Malkin haven't had much at all. They better get used to it.

I can live with goals from their depth, because I'm confident our depth can beat theirs.

Can't complain too much about that period. Hank did an awesome job of shutting down Crosby.

One thing that desperately needs to be changed, though: MORE TRAFFIC IN FRONT OF THE NET

Zata is causing him MASSIVE fits. We just need guys at the net like you said to pick up those yummy rebounds.

More = ANY

Way too white in front of MAF. We need some red in that part of the ice... of course if it's some Penguin blood, I wouldn't mind. Nothing life threatening... just season ending on Or-pig, Crosby or Malkin would be nice.

What? Save the goal, we dominated the entire period. No one thinks that the pens are going to get shutout again. We're still controlling the game.

Why the hell does NBC waste away 15 minutes with pre-game stuff? If a non-hockey fan tunes in thinking, "Hmm...let's see what this is all about," they'd turn it off before the game even started. It boggles my mind. If the broadcast is going to start at 8, the puck should drop no later than 8:05.

Anyway, I thought it was a good, very entertaining first period. Our goal was fluky, theirs was one I'm sure Stuart and Ozzie would both like back, so we'll wipe the slate clean and make it a two-period game. Marian Hossa was on fire. You can tell he really wants this. I'm not sure he was always making the smartest play, but at least he was energized and involved. That's more than we've been able to say in most non-Game 4's.

The Penguins are obviously much more stable and composed than they were last year. The longer we let them stick around, the more that confidence is going to build up, so I'd very much enjoy the next goal, preferably early in the period.

Wonder what they're going to talk about during the rest of the series? They've already covered Crosby and Malkin.. so Fleury, Guerin, Kunitz, Gonchar, Bylsma and Orpik?

But you can never cover Crosby and Malkin too much..
