some of us mental midgets? LOL

Keep going son, show us how non-sensitive you are when someone who makes $7 mil a year is criticized. I'm sure Hossa can take it, he's a big boy. But it seems you can't for some odd reason.

Son? Again? I'm not saying that Hossa couldn't play better.....we all know he can......So, according to your logic, the Pens fans should be crucifying Cindy right now, right?.....I'm sure he's "useless" and "along for the ride too", right? Spare me, "SON'.

Wings didn't lose because of the refs (although how in the god damn world do you miss a 6 on 5 for 20 seconds?) or Ozzie. They lost because of s***ty pk'ing (per usual) and sloppy play yet again in the defensive zone. Way too many turnovers. Everytime there is a little pressure the wings defense freaks and turns it over.

Also agree with those rightly criticising our PK which has gone from great to awful in a few months...missing lilja's size and shot blocking and dats aweseomeness on the pk too. Also worring about how ineffective we were at dealing with their forecheck tonight, also agree that Hossa is trying too damn hard and needs to get clearer and more relaxed in his thinking..

Anyway its 4.15 am here, and i shoudl really be in bed.....******* refs...if this goes to 7 i'm going to get fired!

Even though the Wings lost, this game was kind of a relief. The Wings controlled the play and got their puck possession game back. They played well enough to win this game. This restored my faith that the team could clearly outplay the Pens.

Sort of where I'm at too. There was part of me thinking we'd take a serious *****-slapping tonight, and we didn't. In a weird way, I'm more confident than I was going into this game.

Game 4's the difference between us definitely winning and a coin flip IMO, so let's use the day off wisely and freaking dominate Thursday.

Some of them are.

Others are seeing him getting shots at point blank range but they aren't going in.

Hossa isn't even getting that one, son.

I think our PK has sucked all regular season and playoffs...it hasn't been good at all this season.

I'm as big a red wings homer as anyone on these boards... but reading some of these posts is getting ridiculous. Some of you guys are starting to sound like half the ****** bags on letsgopens.

Big Rig interfeared, no questions about it. It was a legit call.

Did the pens get away with some calls? absolutely... did the wings? yeah they probably did as well.

That's just the way the cookie crumbles ladies and gentlemen... bitter pill to swallow sometimes i know... but we still have a 1 game lead.

Let's not make excuses, and lose with a little dignity shall we?

Well.....

I'm not happy with the outcome. As has been said before, I don't think anyone thought it would be a sweep, (regardless of what we were hoping for).

However, I'm not sure where many here are getting that we "outplayed" the 'guins. I didn't see that at all.

What I saw was sloppy hockey. Throw-everything-at-the-net-and-pray hockey. They were TERRIBLE in turning the puck over, and over, and OVER, again and again. In all three zones. They couldn't clear their zone to save their lives. And they were beaten to puck after puck, losing all of the little battles.

Shame. This was such a great opportunity.

I think they may have gotten a bit complacent. You know....

Down their Hart candidate, but still up 2-0 in the Series, even after having played FAR less than their best hockey.

Hopefully this serves as a wake-up call.

Haha, same here. I thought the final scored would be a blow out, like 7-2, with the wings losing. I didn't think the wings would sweep, so I guess the Wings have to lose sometime. It just makes this game four that much more important now.

What was the last question they asked Babcock when he got up and left? My feed randomly froze then cut to them setting up...

They asked him what he thought about the Pens having too many men on the ice and the officials not noticing it. He smiled, said "what do you want me to say?", laughed and then got up, saying "See you tomorrow." He then left the podium. Didn't yell, didn't curse. Kept the smile on his face the whole time. But you KNEW he was pissed.

I didn't see that at all. I saw a Detroit team that limited Pittsburgh to just a few sustained spurts in the offensive zone, and the one that cost them was while they were on the penalty kill. Pittsburgh had a very difficult time sustaining any pressure at all tonight.

I concur. BTW Gill is a slow lump - can't hardly skate at all. Wings make him dizzy with their speed. No way he would crack the Wings' lineup, thats for sure.

For the record the Wings outshot the Pens 14-4 in the 2nd period

But they didn't score any.

They had periods like that against Anaheim too and that series went 7.

As I said earlier, if the Pens were a bit more consistent defensively in their system, I'd say we are looking at Anaheim part deux.

Oh, I'm sure they are.....after all, Detroit can't have a monopoly on idiot fans, can they? Yea, I'm sure that Cindy's production in the 1st three games of this series is much better than Hossa's......I mean, since we're now all about effort instead of results....right??...son?

I did not think we would sweep as nice as that would be and i thought game 3 would be the 1 game pitts would win. Not going to complain about calls, the game was lost because we could not convert in the great 2nd period we played and the 3rd period PP for the Pens, those 2 points were the deciding factors and oh ya we didn't play Red Wings hockey for 60 minutes which is why i am not worried. I am confident we will bounce right back on Thursday and take it home up 3-1.

GO WINGS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

My issue with what you said is, it's not the Wings or the Pens players job to watch if there's 6 men from the opponent on the ice. The linesmen are supposed to be making sure there aren't more than 6 out there. For whatever reason, both were mesmorized by the play.

Oh I know. The refs blew that one. If someone on the bench would have noticed sooner then the ruckus would have got the attention of the ref which could have led to a call on the too many men.

I am not worried. In the end the cup will stay here.

The Wings played great for the first two periods and the Pens came out in desperation mode in the third and the Wings seemed to sit back. Yes the PK has been awful, be nice if Draper and Datsyuk were back Thursday night to help with the faceoffs and PK.

look at the brightside folks, they can win it at home game 5. GO WINGS!!!!!
