greene709 27 Report post Posted June 7, 2009 Their whole line didn't play much in the third but I'm pretty sure that was for resting purposes. He seemed fine after anyway. He's a beast.
dicksmack 33 Report post Posted June 7, 2009 Maxine out there acting like a *****. That's one of the cheapest moves I've ever seen. It makes you think the Pens feel that they have absolutely no chance against a full compliment of Red Wings so, they have to resort to this.

I absolutely agree with you theory,Datsyuk-impact was terrific and now the Pens are really in troubles, the only way to stop a player like Pasha is a vicious check or slash like Talbot does yesterday night No-one can stop Pasha!!!! sputman 1,268 Report post Posted June 7, 2009 http://watch.tsn.ca/nhl/clip180484#clip180484 does he really think anybody believes him when he says "Oh yeah" (4:04) to that slash being a coincidence? what a dick.
Pavrik Zettersyuk 4 Report post Posted June 7, 2009 I love Datsyuk. I think it's funny how he was occassionaly (was it more than occassionaly?) called out as a 'no show.' There's a 'no show' every year, as in there's a guy that's having trouble scoring goals... Thankfully when it's Datsyuk not scoring, he's still kicking ass, but you can say that about a lot of Wings forwards. They of course pride themselves on two-way play, even if it's not on the level of Datsyuk.
cusimano_brothers 1,655 Report post Posted June 7, 2009 Talbot is a liar, Crosby is a liar. Take what Mr. Rafalski said about Mr. Datsyuk to the bank (at least a bank you can trust). I wonder what Talbot says to Fleury before the game to get him pumped up? He might consider getting a new speech writer. He sure isn't much of a motivationalist! Nightfall 871 Report post Posted June 7, 2009 I know I don't like hearing "lower body injury" or "upper body injury". It certainly would be nice to hear what is really wrong with players when they get hurt. That being said, this incident should be a reason NOT to disclose those injuries. Some NHL players have no qualms about going after a player in a area he is hurt when they know where they are hurt. Its sickening.

CenterIce 83 Report post Posted June 7, 2009 I hope Talbot enjoys watching Hossa hoist the cup on Tuesday night!!! Does any one even know which foot it is, even if it is his foot? The going for the puck excuse is horrible though. As some one said it wasn't any where near him.
Ctr022501 0 Report post Posted June 7, 2009 Has anyone watched NHL Network's pregame? I moved to Utah last year so that's all the hoceky I really get so I'm stuck watching that but I guess before game 3 they interviewed Talbot and he went out and scored two goals. Well, they interviewed him before game 4 and even said "talbot wants us to do this because he's supersitious" I was so annoyed that they would do that! Would they do that if someone from the Wings wanted that? Well, the interviewed him before game 5 too!! So needless to say I was annoyed with Talbot before the game even started and a part of me was like HA what are you going to do now Talbot? Is the NHL network gonna be biased again too?! Kira 451 Report post Posted June 7, 2009 You know that Pasha isn't going to say which foot is hurting him. We can go back the game when he got hurt and see if we can see it, but who's got the time for that? I'll take his word that he's okay. And like Brian said, "Even if he's only 85 percent, I'll take 85 percent of Pavel Datsyuk over 100 percent of a lot of other players."

RedArmy 4 Report post Posted June 7, 2009 even reports pressed on Talbot saying that the puck was nowhere near Datsyuk... Talbot is a first class ******... and yes he did go after the injured foot... one thing is to be physical and aggressive another thing is to go after a star player with an intent to injure... You can say whatever it is playoff hockey, but to swing a stick at someone's foot or leg no matter how hard. can injury any person even a tough hockey player... in any case would certainly make my day to see Wings raise the cup in front of Pens home crowd again... this is why Cindy is not Stevie Y, or Mark Messier or even Joe Sakic (even though we all hate Avs, Sakic was always a class act)... Strongly competitive is Gary Robert's elbow to Franzen's head last year in his first game returned from concussion. How come you don't see us dishing out cheap shots like that, but we sure take a lot? Makes you wonder if the league doesn't like skilled & well-behaved players? Chelios57 31 Report post Posted June 7, 2009 Letang slashed Datsyuk on purpose behind the net as well. I don't know if there's a You Tube clip of it, but you can see it on the NHL.com video of the game. There's no doubt about it either. Watch the game highlights and you'll see it. titanium2 867 Report post Posted June 7, 2009 "I went for the puck, and his foot was there." ...Right... I don't know what sounds more ridiculous. That or Gary Roberts when said, "He actually tried to throw a shoulder at me ... I think I was trying to backcheck and he threw a shoulder into me. And my shoulder hit him, maybe hit him in the side of the face. But there was no intent there." Is there lead in the water in Pittsburgh or something?
