Calgary looks to spend much money on particular players: Iginla, Phaneuf, Bouwmeester, Langkow, Regehr, and Jokinen. These players eat up 7, 5.25, 4.5, 6.6, 6.5, 4.02; not in orde though. If you ad all those number, 33.87 cap number. Looks the Flames will be the power house in NW Division over Canucks
Bouwmeester signs with Calgary

Anyone asks about the life? It is very simple. You have all or none. You have a success or failure. There can be only one winner. However, you need a failure to accomplish a success. You never look back. You only look forward. What you are doing right now for even a second or a minute shape your future. It can be deadly gloomy or very bright. Don't be frustrated by the present situation. Think positively. Good thing will happen to you soon

Especially if the Canucks lose the Sedin twins, which looks more likely than not right now.

And hes about 10x better defensively than Phaneuf is. But then again, many Dmen are.
Yeah I can't believe they're paying that guy $6.5M a year.

That's a very good signing for Calgary. I look forward to playing them.
They do seem to be sticking out of the NW, don't they? But don't jump the gun... they havn't exactly done much in the past. Last four seasons -->
Lost in Conference Quarterfinals, 3–4 (Mighty Ducks)
Lost in Conference Quarterfinals, 2–4 (Red Wings)
Lost in Conference Quarterfinals, 3–4 (Sharks)
Lost in Conference Quarterfinals, 2–4 (Blackhawks)

Man florida can get some good players, but the fail to build the team around them: Bouwmeester, Luongo, Jovonowski, Jokinen, Bure(s), Kozlov to name a few.... maybe they should fold up shop, along with Phoenix...
