Snazzy 0 Report post Posted July 1, 2009 Hawks just gave up their only chance to making the finals. They have no goaltending now.
Wings_Fan_In_Exile 3 Report post Posted July 1, 2009 I love it! Heard the TSN Free Agent Frenzy panel saying it was official too. Huet back to their #1? Do they have money for anybody else?
dat's sick 1,002 Report post Posted July 1, 2009 I actually think the Hawks are doing the right thing going with Huet instead of Khabi.
Guest mindfly Report post Posted July 1, 2009 15million / 4years... wow, thats 3.75 per year... almost 50% lower than last season
evilmrt 636 Report post Posted July 1, 2009 Heut won't take them back to the WCF or even the Finals, for that matter. Sorry Chicago!
AtomicPunk 296 Report post Posted July 1, 2009 They've gotta roll the bones with Huet at this point. Khabi is 36 and they have a young team, time to look to the future, and reduce payroll to afford their new free agent signings!
The Secret 304 Report post Posted July 1, 2009 Oh this is too much.... adding Hossa was a huge plus but losing Khabibulin in place of Huet could be the hook that keeps them out of the finals. Hawks gave us a good run but most of the show Khabby standing on his head! Hahaha, good luck s***Hawks!
YoungGuns1340 1 Report post Posted July 1, 2009 I actually think the Hawks are doing the right thing going with Huet instead of Khabi. Thats strange, because the Hawks themselves didn't seem to think so by trying to trade Huet before the ink on Hossa's contract was even dry. Huet and Niemi FTW! Khabi is 36 and they have a young team, time to look to the future, and reduce payroll to afford their new free agent signings! Keeping Huet does nothing to reduce payroll, especially when Khabi just signed for a somewhat reasonable deal.
