just refreshed the tsn page and saw that....eww. ryan smyth is the anti-christ. he is the only player in the nhl that stands closer to the goalie than homer....but he's pretty boy ryan smyth so he gets away with it....'06 vs wings....d-bag

This offseason will determine whether Ken Holland should still be employed with the Wings organization.

Please put Smith on the Power Play!

Smyth's contract is horrible but the Kings have a ton of room. I wonder what's going the other way.
In a 2005 study published by the journal Nature, researchers at Durham University in England concluded that, across a range of sports, we found that wearing red is consistently associated with a higher probability of winning. The researchers also suggested that red's effect may subconsciously intimidate opponents in athletic contests, especially when the athletes are equal in skill and strength.

I think what Lombardi needs now is to look for a goalie. That's not to say Quick wouldn't be capable, but I think that if they get a pretty good goalie, they might return to late 90's/early 2000's form.

Hopefully NOT Jack Johnson, because the Kings are improving a little bit, so now Maybe Stuart would want to go back "Home" and waive his NTC and get US Jack Johnson!

Dammit. I like Ryan Smyth. Red Wing fans would love him if he were a Wing.

Jesus Christ, they traded Quincey to Avs! Plus Tom Preissing and a fifth-round pick.

that's af****** horrible move by the kings! not only is smyth's contract expensive for what you get in return, but quincey was their best d-man down the stretch last season along with doughty. and preissing is no slouch.

but of course i have an undying hatred for smyth. always have, always will. captain canada my ass. *****!

though now the wings can trade lebda to the avs for quincey and it all works out right??

Unbelievable. Quincey AND Preissing? What were the Kings thinking?

Time for the Wings to trade Lebda for Quincey!

Dean Lombardi is a meatball, last 2 seasons Smyths been banged up and only scored 40 goals in those seasons.

I think it's a great trade for the Kings. They needed that offensive marquee player and finally got one.

Man oh man do I wish we could get Johnson for Stuart. Of course it'd take more than Stuart's money to sign Johnson, but that's not even the first step in this magical journey.
