The slate includes eight games against Eastern Conference opponents and one game against Swedish Elite League team Farjestads, which will serve as a tune-up to the regular season openers in Stockholm, Sweden, against the St. Louis Blues on Oct. 2-3. Here's the complete preseason schedule, as announced by the club: Sept. 16 vs. Philadelphia at Joe Louis Arena, 7:30 p.m. Sept. 18 vs. New York Rangers at Joe Louis Arena, 7:30 p.m. Sept. 19 vs. Buffalo at Joe Louis Arena 7 p.m. Sept. 21 at New York Rangers, 7 p.m. Sept. 22 at Philadelphia, TBD Sept. 25 vs. Toronto at Joe Louis Arena, 7:30 Sept. 26 at Toronto, 7 p.m. Sept. 27 vs. Pittsburgh at Joe Louis Arena, 5 p.m. Sept. 30 at Farjestads (Karlstad, Sweden), TBD The regular season schedule will be released next week, likely on Wednesday.
