I really hate this!! I get soooooo pissed when I see young guys like Kane who have all the talent in the world, and then go do something like this!! Its not like he couldn't afford to pay the damn fare!!

What he needs is some jail time and a suspension, if you let him walk this time, he'll do it again! Look at all of the other athletes that do this crap!!

Chicago Blackhawk right winger and South Buffalo native Patrick Kane and a relative face robbery and other charges after allegedly assaulting a cab driver and failing to pay their fare after getting a ride from Chippewa Street early this morning.

Kane, 20, and James M. Kane, 21, were arrested about 5 a.m. on Eastwood Place, according to Buffalo police reports.

The pair allegedly punched the cab driver and grabbed money they had handed him after he told them he didn't have twenty cents in coins to give them their change, the report said.

Their fare was $13.80 and they handed the driver $15, according to a report.

The cab driver told police he was punched in the face and head, grabbed by the throat and had his glasses broken during the incident....

If this is true - what a complete ****. Multimillionaire and 1) you clearly have no intention of tipping the cabbie and 2) you are enough of a skinflint to assault someone over 20 cents? What is 20 cents going to buy you that your Blackhawks contract can't?

this is too funny.....it wont do a lick of damage to the games....but the blackhawk, black eye is starting to look a little rough.

you know every blackhawk associate, player, fan woke up this morning and all said the same thing.....f***, we look like idiots.

this would have been a lot funnier if it had been corey perry....but we'll take it.

Wow, that is so utterly disappointing to hear. This guy seemed to be a classy rising star, and was hoping for him to take over Crosby's superstar status. This has completely changed my view of him. I absolutely HATE it when fame and money get to these players' heads, making them believe because of their status, they can do whatever the f*** they want. "High and mighty, pompous, better than everyone else" players can go f*** themselves.

When I saw he got arrested, I figured the cabbie must've done something CRAZY like pull Kane's mouthguard out and throw it on the floor of his cab... laugh.gif
