Does 'C' Stand for Crosby?

For the Canadians, article talks about the possible captains. Hockey Canada won't be naming Crosby as captain, but rather alluded to possibly Niedermeyer.

I think it's far too much for Crosby to take lead on Team Canada, he may have led the World Junior team to gold, but this type of international hockey is far different. Boys vs. Men type scenario. I'm glad we have so many experienced players on our team, a ton of great leaders and knowing the right choices for captaincy will be made.

Yeah I wouldn't worry about Crosby being named Captain....

A - Iginla

A - Mike Richards

I wouldn't even say he led them to Gold in the World Juniors. That team was so stacked I hardly noticed him at all. If I recall correctly Mike Richards was the captain of that team, I would definitely take him as a captain over Crosby.

I would take Richards, even Toews as captain ahead of Crosby, but you know that won't be the case. He'll at least be an assistant.

With so many great players on Team Canada I don't think that Crosby deserves to be the Captain not with all of the other Great Established players on that team. Maybe in time he can wear the C but not this Olympics

As a Canadian Wings fan, I have no interest in this version of team Canada. There's too many players on the team I don't like, and have been cheering against for years. I can't support Fleury, Neidermayer, Phaneuf, Pronger, Cindy, Getzlaf, Iginla, Marleau, Nash, Perry, Smyth, J. Staal, Thornton, and Toews, unless they become Detroit Red Wings. There's just too much bad blood there for ONLY a 2 week tournament. A few of these players have taken "a run" at our guys.

I've never put to much importance in Olympic Gold anyway, the Wings Stanley Cups means 100x more to me. It's all a money grab to have the pros there. I'll either be neutral or follow Sweden as they defend the Gold Medal.

Im a Canadian and I love the Red Wings too man...but you are being rediculous....how can you not be proud of, and support your home countries athletes? grow up
