This is Schneider's 4th team since leaving Detroit in 2007.

Funny how alot of times after a player leaves Detroit, he bounces around the league without finding a solid home.

Classic Examples:

Martin Lapointe
Mathieu Dandenault
Boyd Devereaux
Sergei Fedorov
Manny Legace

RIP Wade Belak
RIP Derek Boogaard

Schneider is the reason Yzerman was out for games 5 and 6 of the Western Semis in 04.

Damn high shot bastard. Oh well, good luck in Vancouver.

I thought that shot was deflected...

That's really not fair. The shot was definately deflected, which took a bit of speed off the shot. I don't think Yzerman would have a left eye right now had the shot not been deflected and had hit him at full speed.

Only video I found, you can't really see the shot coming. Oh well. But you want to talk about INTENT to injure?

Worked out well for Ray Whitney, though.

Most players that have left were just role players in Detroit, so I don't know why other teams expected them to be great all of a sudden.
According to my profile, my reputation is excellent. LOL.

I remember seeing Yzerman get that puck in the face and thought... "now that's for sure going to rally the boys to victory for Stevie's sake"....... sigh.....

Legace's only played for St. Louis since he left Detroit.
The rest are legit though.
But yeah, I miss Whitney. Bring him back. Trade Williams (and Bert for that matter) for Ray. Woo!

Well.. that means the Canucks aren't going to win the cup. Schneider is nothing but bad luck. He won it the first year when he played a few games and has done zilch since!
Defense and goaltending win championships!!!

That Yzerman/Foote video always pisses me off. 100% pure intent to injure. Period. It's amazing that the linesmen actually sacked up and enforced the penalty. Watching that also reminded me that I do still miss Gary Thorne and Bill Clement though sad.gif

On a side note: That video also reminded how much I miss guys like Hull, Robitaille and especially Shanahan.

Ray Whitney played for Detroit for a year. The others spoken of played here for a long while.

I'd be open to that too, but he was the Sammy of LGW in 2003-04.

That's really too bad; Whitney had 77 points last year (granted, playing on the first line) to Sammy's 40 in 1 less game. I'd take Whitney as a third liner over Sammy any day (or whatever Babs had him playing last year).
