Ken Hitchcock wants to make the Wings "Bleed"

Rate this topic

Recommended Posts

So this means we need to add more toughness, because Hitchcock plans on resorting to thugery against us, in order to make our players physically bleed.

Kenny needs to make some moves now.

Haven't you heard? Cloutier will be granted a tryout. I guess that would make him the toughest on the team...

I always liked him and respected him as a coach.

See, I have never liked him. *yech* But I do agree he hasn't said or done anything wrong in this case. Hitch has always been our ***** pretty much - it's great to get that kind of fire going in the Central. It's been too boring far too long. Can't wait to see what happens this year!

Hitch is a pretty good coach. But this would be more intimidating if he had a Flyers organization instead of a Blue Jackets one to work with. Although he has turned the Blue Jackets into something worth at least watching...

Detroit-Chicago and Detroit-Anaheim games this year are going to be the good ones though. And any team against Philly, just because they are going to be great to watch.

wowww settle down people, the man is just saying he wants to win, is that so God awfully wrong. i think we are just a little eager for traingin camp to open up and jump on our plane to Sweden. You are all going over to Sweden right?

So Hitchcock makes comments to fire his team and Jax fans up... but we aren't allowed to get fired up too? That's not right...

I just hope we face them in the playoffs again. Funniest photo shop stuff... EVER.

An "Annihilation" is when 1 team sweeps the other in 4 games AND the loser never has the lead the entire time.

This had happened only 15 times in NHL history. The last time was in 2000 when the Wings annihilated the Kings.

In 2009, the Wings, annihilated the BJ's.

But Hitchcock thinks that this team, just 6 months after being annihilated is going to make us bleed.

hahhahahahah

i've been saying it since game 4 ended...we're their new arch-enemy. to them, we're like the avs were to us in the years leading up to our return to dominance.

thing is, i just don't see a future where the jackets can take that sort of motivation and turn it into a dominant team. i'm just saying they must see us that way...

personally, i like the jackets as well....but i've got a thing about underdogs, too. plus, they're close enough to where i live now that i can actually see a game now and then!

as for making us bleed, well....maybe if he sits on one of our players...

notice he said he wants to CHASE... not beat... CHASE...

If it were me, I would of said "I'm sick of seeing Detroit in first place, I want to BEAT them and take the division."

chase... haha, keep chasing buddy, it's all you'll be doing for awhile.

You mean the Lions right? Because I expect for the Wings to win the Cup this year.

no i meant the wings are kind of in a rebuilding year. lidstrom is getting older and they are trying to get the younger players expierence. osgood is the same way, not saying its a total rebuilding year but compared to last years team they would be. i mean they lost a lot of players to fre agency or the khl. i still think they have a shot at the cup but its going to be harder with more less expierenced guys

You don't know what the word "rebuilding" means, do you? See, in order to go through a rebuilding phase, you had to have phenomenal successes followed by phenomenal failures on your way to phenomenal successes again. Basically the valley of the "peaks and valleys" analogy.

I don't see how that applies here. We are still essentially the same team as last year. If we were truly in a "rebuilding" phase, we'd have about 3 players from last season and a bunch of call-ups and rookies. Since that's not what's going on here.....you're more than a little off-base.
