RyanK 1 Report post Posted October 6, 2009 (edited) How many times last year did we have to score 4 or 5 goals to pull out a win? Our defense sucked ass, our PK was like 25th in the league but at least we had 2 goalies to jump between. Theres no doubt that Conklin was better than Osgood during the regular season last year. Conklin had a 2.51 and Osgood a 3.09. Howard isn't Conklin. Osgood is going to have to be way better this year because we've lost some of our dependable offense. Seriously though, NEEDING to score 5 goals to win a game is a problem. When the wings free up the 13 some million next season we'll be in a better situation to buy some big time defense or maybe a goalie. Given the situation I am sticking by my suggestion that the wings playoff hopes in 2010 aren't a guarentee like they always are. Somethings gotta give sooner rather then later. You are aware of how much ice time Hossa, Samuelsson, and Hudler took up right? It isn't as black and white as "Replace X with Y and see how many goals Y scores compared to X".
