I wish it would stop snowing already.

Sure, no problem. A cataclysmic earthquake causes Fargo to slide down next to Miami. No snow here, eh?

Oh s***, I can see Wallisa, Alaska from my porch now!

I wish NBC would show more hockey and less curling.

From now on, Patrick Roy will be rolled out to and from the Avs' bench like Hannibal Lecter. - BottleOfSmoke

Alright fine, but the only camera is following Crosby even when he's not playing in the game.

I wish Sweden would lay off a bit so Team USA can get the #1 seed.

Granted.

I wish Babcock would have all of his Canadian team players skating 2 minute shifts.

Granted. Unfortunately, Broduer finds his scoring touch and scores every time he's on the ice.

I wish more words rhymed with fungus.

Done, the Word Gods make new words up and enforce them... by putting an 'ungus' on the end of lots of common words. Kronnerungus plays for the Red Wingunguses. Wingungii? Chaos and confusion ensues and all the people who work at Merriam Webster commit suicide. Suicideungus?

I wish I could be at the closing ceremonies of the Olympics.

You get to go to the closing cermonies, but because you take that trip you lose your job. On a good note, you find someone that offers you a much better opportunity so this trip was well worth it.

I wish that I were more confident that the decisions I'm making now will have the consequences I'm hoping for in the future.

To quote Styx:
Nothing ever goes as planned
It's a hell of a notion.
Even pharoahs turn to sand
Like a drop in the ocean.

But I'll corrupt it anyway. You are sure that your decisions are the best. You forge ahead with poise and confidence. Then you realize that your decision to wear your hair down on a windy day was a bad one because it flew into your mouth as you were eating a hot dog at lunch and you got mustard in your hair, but you didn't realize it, so you went back to work with mustard in your hair and someone thought it was a bad dye job and told everyone that it wasn't your natural colour, which got turned into accusations that you wear a wig, which got turned into a rumour that you have fake boobs and all of the guys started sneaking pokes to try to find out for sure and now you can't wear a string bikini due to the bruising.

You realize that wearing a string bikini in March in MI is stupid anyway, so you are now back to being confident in the outcome of your decisions since you don't have pneumonia.

I wish I didn't have to get going so soon so I could answer Dawn's question completely.

hysterical.gif That was great Karen, I actually have tears in my eyes from laughing.

So you took too much time anwering my question, which made you late for church (I assume) and your Sunday school class is now out of control because of lack of supervision. Your day has just turned into nothing but hassels, out of control kids, running late for everything all because you were having too much fun here. But I do appreciate the good laugh. smile.gif

I wish that my taxes were already done and that we actually got a refund this year.

They're done and you get a refund. Now you have to justify all the stuff you fudged to get that refund. The IRS does not accept "but I wished for it on LGW" as an excuse.

I wish I had answers to the burning questions that are none of my business, but that effect people I care about.

Ok, they leave Crosby alone and start humping Bettman's leg. Crosby gets jealous and humps the media's leg. They have a threesome (if you count the media as one) and there is no more media coverage of anyone related to hockey. We don't get any news about hockey at all. We all have the choice between NASCAR, bowling, and tiddly-winks.

I wish for Lilja to have a great game tonight.

Andreas has a great game. In fact, he gets a hat-trick. The rest of the team doesn't do anything, however, and lose by a score of 8-3.

I wish Jimmy Howard would finish the season by playing even better than he has so far.

Granted. They let go of it and it runs amok. There is now phantom tripping, hooking, diving...well, you get the drift. No one notices.

I wish people would use their + and - buttons responsibly.

I think I just did. Although I still don't understand the need to go around giving people negative ratings just because. Oh, forgot what thread I'm in :P

People start using the + and - buttons responsibly and everyone on the board becomes obsessed with their rating. There becomes separate groups for the "good" one and the "bad" ones, all sorts of crazy posts to either increase or decrease their rating. The whole board is consumed with that and no more hockey talk. :(

I wish that I had planned things out better before setting something into motion.

You planned it out so well that the unforeseen silver lining of your current cloud does not happen and you go through your entire life never knowing what wonderful thing is around the corner for you after all of this settles.

More earthquakes cause the earth's axis to slip. N. Dakota is now where the North Pole used to be.
Damn, are those penguins in your yard?

Granted, It lives longer than any rodent ever has. Unfortunatly, it escapes from your home and is found and raised by groundhogs.

You have a brand new, state-of-the-art laptop. It is so new that it is mind-controlled. You are even getting the hang of using it so that porn doesn't pop up on it when your wife and kids are in the room. Unfortunately, you host a block party this weekend, and the computer goes into overdrive from all of the kids, pets, and people in general. It takes over your big-screen tv and everyone is treated to seeing Martha Stewart and Barney humping Gary Bettman's legs.

I wish I would learn to keep my mouth shut when I'm mad.
