Maybe we should try and lure Sam Gagner away from Edmonton, he dropped the gloves last night...

Yeah, with Craig Conroy.

That kid Gagner must be a brave soul to fight a 40 year old man. laugh.gif
According to my profile, my reputation is excellent. LOL.

What's Peter Worrell up to these days?

Him and Lilja are friends, so maybe we can convince him to make a comeback.

He'd be great in this "new NHL", now that every team is back to carrying a full-time enforcer.
According to my profile, my reputation is excellent. LOL.

What was the final vote count? Last I checked it wasn't that decisive.
When you lose, say little. When you win, say less.

If it was a national election, that margin would be called a decisive vote.

George Foreman isn't doing anything, I don't think. Sure he's selling some grills, but the man needs to earn a real living.

Challenge: assemble an all-goon, all-enforcer, all-grit team (of today's players).

Discuss.

See: Flyers roster

"It was pretty interesting," said Detroit coach Mike Babcock. "We had May in exhibition for a couple of games and no one gets hacked or whacked. When we don't have him, we get run. We don't have a team that twists off helmets at stoppages. You get tired of seeing it all the time. It's just nice when you get someone to look after that stuff."

The results of this poll should not come as a surprise to anyone. The vast majority of fans like hockey fighting and appreciate hockey fighters. Not even the Wings' young fans (who likely prefer the sort of hockey they se in PeeWee), plus the Wings' Euro-weakling fans, plus those vindictive folks who don't care about enforcers but are happy to vote against the polarizing character that is ESAD could outnumber the rest of us normal hockey fans. You gotta have ballance to keep the game great, and right now the Wings don't have it. They wil though, soon enough.

I voted on the pro-enforcer side of the poll. Not because of statistics, hockey theory or an unhappiness with how things are going for the team but because I just love seeing someone in a Red Wings sweater punching someone not wearing one in the face.
