I'll make sure to tell him #6 was your idea laugh.gif Man if I could say hi to Mickey that'd be so cool he and I have the same birthday on the 27th of Dec.

Go up to the top of the arena side with the pressbox (driectly behind the penalty boxes... the last row there is right at the edge of the pressboxes... Ken and Mickey sit in the little cubby hole in the middle to do their broadcasting (which i believe is pretty darn close to center ice). Sometimes they are up their early and you can say hi to them and talk. I have done that a few times.

How long did it take for JLA security to escort ya outta the arena?

not at all.. they can just lean over and talk to the fans... just like how i met Bud Lynch and some other broadcasters. you are in the last row of the arena, you aren't really breaking any rules to get kicked out.

My husband and I are also going to our first JLA game. We are flying in form CA on Nov 14th for the Ducks game. Our plans are to stay at the Doubletree that appears to be about a half a mile from the arena. Does anyone know if it is an ok walk from the hotel? Also, we want to make the most of our one night there so are there any suggestions for where to go after the game?

Thanks!

Erin

Thanks everybosy for the helpful suggestions and tips. I wrote them down so I can go over them with my sister sowe can make a game plan. I can't wait to go!!!! I just wish Hank was still ok to play stupid Lightnings ranting.gif . It seems like all the good guys are falling right before the game thumbdown.gif . Oh well, no matter what I'm gonna be too excited just to be there and yell at the players in person instead of yelling at the TV.
Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!

Another parking spot is across the street from the Renaissance Center (Atwater Street)...it's $6 after 4PM...walk through the RenCen and catch the People Mover. That's what we do.
