Yzerman and Fedorov followed very closely by Shanahan and McCarty. I really am not one to single out a player a choose him as my favorite smile.gif

Yzerman and Shanahan, but also Chelios once he joined the Wings became a favorite of mine. Chelios' jersey was the first one I ever owned.

Feds was my favorite growing up because he was my dad's favorite. tongue.gif

I grew to appreciate him seperately of course. And Larionov quickly became a favorite the more I learned about hockey.

I think it goes unstated that I adored Stevie as well, like a lot of people.
Hudler!!

"If you didn't know him, and saw him without hockey gear, you'd never suspect Datsyuk to be a world-class athlete. He walks a bit hunched over. His gait is somewhat crab-like, almost like he's still skating, even on dry land.

But put him on skates and he's Houdini on ice. He is not the fastest skater by a long shot, but there can't be too many who are stronger or more flexible. Checking him has to feel like checking Gumby. You might get a piece of him, but he bounces away, moving faster thanks to the leverage he gained from your check."

Yzerman, without a doubt. The second favourite (seeing as how Yzerman is probably going to be the majority answer here) would be Osgood.

Same with me. I was so freakin happy when I found out Detroit signed Hasek. Almost as happy when I found out Iverson got traded to the Pistons, until I spent the whole season cursing at him and regretting that we gave up Billups for him At least Hasek could help us win the cup, so he's still my favorite. biggrin.gif

Fedorov, until he held out the first time and made it really difficult to resign him. Then Yzerman was my favorite.
