Icesurfer 75 Report post Posted November 6, 2009 The Rocket Line strikes again!!! Williams was absolutely the worst skater on the ice against the Sharks. He was chasing the puck all night long. The slowest and least intense skater on the ice without a doubt. All he had was a few weak shots at the net at the end of the game including the shootout, otherwise he was invisible. The fourth line also skated well and was great on the forechecking. As far as I am concerned you can shelve May and Williams.
Nev 1,085 Report post Posted November 6, 2009 I think it was Franzen said last season that Helm was the best skater he had ever seen.

MadMan Mark 0 Report post Posted November 6, 2009 Great move by Babs putting Drapes on the wing. Can anyone remember the last time Draper had so many scoring chances? Mickey could not stop raving about Helm. He seems to be everywhere and the part of his game I like the best is who ever has the puck near him gets a check after they pass. I hope DHE Express stays together. They can wreak havoc on opposing teams top lines. The forechecking can really take them out of sync. Regarding Williams, he looked as sluggish as the Sharks. It was apparent to me that SJ was playing for one point early in the 2nd and if they got the lucky bounce, they would skate off with a gift of a win.
ComradeWasabi 109 Report post Posted November 6, 2009 This is a great third line. I would have loved to have this as a fourth line LAST year, imagine this roster: Datsyuk-Zetterberg-Holmstrom Franzen-Filppula-Hossa Cleary-Hudler-Samuelsson Draper-Helm-Eaves Sorry to get all blueadams on you, but that would have been awesome. Anyways, I loved watching them. They were all over the ice, especially Helm; he's managed to maintain his play in the regular season.
Drake_Marcus 890 Report post Posted November 6, 2009 (edited) I think it was Franzen said last season that Helm was the best skater he had ever seen. I remember reading that too. Helm's got the kind of skating talent you just can't teach... he's a brilliant, gifted skater who makes it look easy. Just imagine if Hudler could skate like that. Edit: Not that I want to imply his game is all talent-- he's also dedicated, hard-working and willing to sacrifice his body.
