Going to a Wings game next week

Hey everybody! I'm going up to the game next week and planning on spending the whole day in Detroit with some of my buddies. Any suggestions on what to do all day? Is it possible to sit in on the morning skate? Also, is it possible to get autographs from the players? Maybe when they are coming to and from the arena? Thanks in advance!! GO WINGS!!!

dont know about before the game, but after the game some players sign autographs. as they leave the parking lot, they pull off to the side where the fans are and sign. (gordie howe entrance)

Which game are you going to? I'll be at the Dallas game on the 30th.

As for things to do during the day, the Institute of Art, the Science Center, Hockeytown Authentics, lunch at the Hockeytown Cafe or Cheli's. There are casinos if you're into that (I'm not). I'm sure you can find something to do.

after games pavel,drapes and malts usually stop. the ones that dont stop wave or occasionally you get the ones on phones driving right by.

I'm going to tonight's game too! I'm super pumped, we're staying in Windsor a mile from the Joe so hopefully we'll be able to manage finding our way without having to drive. Are there any good places walkable from the Joe for post-game festivities? I know a few ppl reccomended Hockeytown before the game. go wings!

I know a lot of people go to Greektown Casino after the game. Great if that's what you're into, but it's not my thing.
