Aussie_Wing 354 Report post Posted November 21, 2009 Got called into work early so I'll miss the game. Good to see Tatar with 2 SOG in the first, might have been Sammy shots but at least he seems active and confident. Go Griffs!
Vladifan 680 Report post Posted November 21, 2009 Holy crap... Look at Texas' record. Are they really that good? Yeah, they are! It's a surprise to us too who live here. Brand new arena; brand new team. They are indeed fun to watch.

Can I count on you to stream it tomorrow? I'll be watching (assuming my GF doesn't protest). Can't wait to see if Tatar takes this head of steam and rolls with it. Good to see Tatar with 2 SOG in the first, might have been Sammy shots but at least he seems active and confident. Go Griffs! From what I've read on the Griffins m-live site as well as the Griffins Central and Red Wings Central message boards he's looked like an AHL player out there so far. Apparently people are 'seeing glimpses' of the kind of play that impressed the Wings in camp. With his 2 helpers tonight he's got 1 goal 6 assists and 7 points through his first 12 AHL games. Assuming his play doesn't pick up as he gets comfortable but stays at this pace that's a 44 pt rookie season as the youngest kid in the entire league. I'm still excited about this kid. Aussie_Wing 354 Report post Posted November 21, 2009 Yeah I'm quietly content with Tatar's play so far. And perhaps the most impressive number? He's a +6! I'm spewing I missed this game, sounded like a beauty. Mursak scores again! Ritola another assist and Kindl his first of the season and +2. All of my faourites performed and Larsson was as solid as ever.
Drake_Marcus 890 Report post Posted November 21, 2009 Weird... AHL.com updated the point totals but only has his assists at 5 right now. Hey only gave him a single assist in the update. I just double-checked the boxscore and they didn't take any assists away, so I wonder what's going on. I'll have to email them if it isn't updated!

I'll have to email them if it isn't updated! ahl stats are updated live ! as soon as a point is given in the liveboxscore at a game it is automatically updated in the season statistics section (opposing to the nhl). so when you checked today and saw 5 assist, there was already his first assist of todays game included. so before yesterdays game he had: 1g 2a 3p after yesterdays game he had: 1g 4a 5p after todays game he has: 1g 6a 7p (sorry this one is still running, so maybe more) Edited November 21, 2009 by 11iscoming
11iscoming 1 Report post Posted November 21, 2009 ok, he added an empty netter so after todays game he has: 2g 6a 8pts
Drake_Marcus 890 Report post Posted November 21, 2009 ok, he added an empty netter so after todays game he has: 2g 6a 8pts Ahhh... I see. So I was checking his player page during games and double counting points because I assumed all the points from that game wouldn't be on his page yet. Still-- 2g 6a for 8pts in 12 games is damn good for the youngest player in the league!

Ahhh... I see. So I was checking his player page during games and double counting points because I assumed all the points from that game wouldn't be on his page yet. Still-- 2g 6a for 8pts in 12 games is damn good for the youngest player in the league! Very, very impressive. He's become more confident and active over the past few games. I know it's early but it's looking like keeping him in the AHL was a good decision.
