I mean if all Leino needs to be productive is a gf I think we can probably hook him up.
LGW's version of E-harmony if you will, we will base our matches off how many points he puts up.
Hell he can have an entire harem if he puts up 30 goals.
Nah, we need to hook him up first, then he'll start producing points, possibly even children, and then all is right in the hockey world again.

I knew that.
"He even ate with women who at that time were accorded the same status as the family donkey. Are we willing to break bread with, say, child sex slaves, transgender teens and undocumented workers? Because when Jesus comes back to Earth, that's where he'll be hanging."
You can easily judge the character of a man by how he treats those who can do nothing for him.

This is the other part of what I read that I forgot to mention.

Pretty sure that Pronger's wife is NOT from Russia... and I didn't think Edmonton was in Michigan either...

Professionals are still people. Try being married to a woman who HATES where you live, HATES the team you play and is a CONSTANT ***** for days, weeks, YEARS on end. Being a married man, I know, it'sf****** horrible. When you know that you're doing what you love, and the woman you love is criticizing every aspect of the place you play... you start to hate everything.
If this really is the problem... it could become a very, VERY serious issue for us, especially with the KHL just picking up players from the NHL, even players who already have contracts in the NHL....
Pronger left Edmonton for exactly the same reason, btw. His wife hated the cold so he went to Anaheim... (wonder how she likes Philly...)
Side note to this post. Pronger did not leave Edmonton because his Wife hated the cold...She wanted out because he was on route to being Tiger.

The poster thought you were referring to Datsyuk's wife.

a) The age of many of the posters here
and
b) Whether the ones who are old enough to know better have ever actually been in a real relationship with a woman.
We don't know that its true, but it would explain a lot. I don't care how much money you earn, you're still human, and if you're having problems with the missus, it DOES affect you at work. Trust me, I've seen it myself far too often.
Pavel seems like the kind of quiet "nice-guy" who would internalise all this and carry it around with him, so I can believe it would affect his play [/pseudo psychoanalysis]
Great post and I totally agree. Anyone who has been in a serious relationship knows that something wrong on the homefront can really affect your life. It can cause problems at work, within families and every other aspect of your life. Dats is human and I am sure he wants his wife to be happy and still wants to play great hockey in Detroit so he is probably torn (if there is any merit to this story)
I am a married woman so I really dont understand how people cant grasp how big of a problem this could be for Pavel. If it is true, I hope things work out and Pav's never has to decide between his wife/ marriage/ family and his career.
The future looks bright in Hockeytown!

Are you from the area? Because if you're not, you need to know he doesn't live in Detroit, he lives in a posh suburb north of the city. I'm not sure exactly where his home is, but I've seen him in and around Birmingham, which is where many Red Wings call home. It's one of the wealthier areas in the country, anything but miserable. I'm not sure what, "for a person who likes life" means, exactly.
