My response is similar to your response is to my post in the Eaves thread. You could say that about nearly the whole team. Babcock definitely said it.

He's gotta be thinking about who the playoff goalie will be if we make the playoffs. Wonder who he's leaning toward?

I'm kinda hoping Ozzie gets a chance to start on Friday, but I don't see it happening with the way Babcock has been going.

Also, updated. This is the lowest Jimmy has been in save percentage and goals against in a while, although he is still top ten caliber in both categories. He has looked a bit shaky since the Olympic break, but fortunately the team in front of him has been solid enough to win.

If he leads Detroit to the playoffs, he should at least get a shot at playing in the playoffs. Thats what I think.Apparently Jimmy Howard is the most consistent goaltender in the NHL.

mmmm tasty
Tonight was an excellent game by Howie. He had the game in the palm of his hand multiple times and always came up on top.

Thanks TeeMan!

Updated, although hesitantly because it seems whenever I update this thing as of late he follows up with a stat-destroying performance. In any event, he's still hanging on to top ten stats, but I think the Calder race is slipping away from him with his post-Olympic performance (not to mention Myers' recent play).
I'll just be happy if he gets nominated. He'll still be able to have that in common with Yzerman, Lidstrom and Zetterberg.

I still can't believe Z didn't win it.

Haha. Every time I mention the others who have been nominated in the past someone always says that or something along the lines of "Jackman is the worst Calder winner ever." And rightfully so because that was one of the "What the hell were they thinking?" kind of moments, especially to Wings fans.

"When I was looking for a captain, I wanted a guy with the Red Wings crest tattooed on his chest," said former Detroit coach Jacques Demers, who named Yzerman captain in 1986. "Steve Yzerman was that guy."
