Living Colour - Flying.

It's about a man who wants to declare his love to a co-worker... on 9/11.

VERSE 1:
I jumped out the window,
to get to the parking-lot,
I'm writing this little song,
on my way down,
never in my life,
have i felt a heat so hot,
i had to get out.

CHORUS:
Such a lovely day to go flying...
the sky's so clear the sun is shining...
fate has given me wings,
such a terrible funny thing.

VERSE 2
I was gathering my nerve to ask out carmen,
she glanced out the window,
oh my god,
her room it went away,
just not the way i planned.

CHORUS:
Such a lovely day to go flying...
the sky's so clear the sun is shining...
fate has given me wings,
such a terrible funny thing,
funny thing...

VERSE 4:
I jumped out the window,
to get to the parking-lot,
I'm writing this little song,
on my way down.

CHORUS:
Such a lovely day to go flying...
the sky's so clear the sun is shining...
fate has given me wings,
such a terrible funny thing,
funny thing...
such a funny thing...
funny thing...
funny thing...
such a terrible funny thing...

I like a lot of classic rock and I could probably put a lot of songs into this category, but this cover of Love, Reign O'er Me by Pearl Jam live at the VH1 Rock Honors is really doing it for me right now

I had to bump this because that was totally awesome. I'm a fan of both bands but they did a great job on those songs and it was awesome to see the bassline in Real Me that John Entwistle did. That is the driving point of that song. And Eddie's vocals on Reign O'er Me are sweet also.

"my message is simple: The next time anyone runs any of our guys in a way that shouldn't be done, then a message will be sent. I'm not going to go out and run your skill guys, your superstars. I'm going to go right to the guy (who did it), and fair justice is fair justice." -Downey

This one gets me anytime, every time. Art is the best.
Also, if you look you'll see the twin towers. Standing there before the world fell around our ears.

If this song does nothing to you, you have no soul. Seriously.

Not a terribly deep song or anything, but it definitely gives me chills. I think most people can relate to it.

I'll come back with more later.

Crosby's Bettman Real Doll is going to get quite a workout tonight.
