PotbellyJoe 10 Report post Posted December 13, 2009 He said it was regrettable circumstances, not that he regretted doing it. Suspicion, with charges, are enough to need distance in this case. Suspending him from ownership permits the league to make moves that would sure up new ownership if he had been convicted of the backdating of options. It's like when a state government has to relinquish control to enable the federal government to take over in an emergency. If he was faced with this kind of situation again, Bettman would most likely act the same way. At least that's how I understand it.
Guest CaliWingsNut Report post Posted December 13, 2009 I've yet to see Bettman truly apologize for anything. He's a sad man on a power trip whom can't even admit simple mistakes, and continually looks like a larger ******* for it (regardless of your stance on this individual case). The little troll continues to support Charles Wang, who is a disgusting criminal and should be behind bars in Federal prison for his crimes.
