Anyone play Borderlands, and could you possibly give a review?

Was thinking of picking this game up as a Christmas gift to myself, but I'm having a hard time deciphering what it is really, and how it works. Though with FF7 and FF8 being released as DLC on the PSN, I'm kinda busy reliving some classic fun. . But I don't want to derail the topic at hand.

Is it worth it? yay or nay? great re-playability? Fun?

Does your character always look the same? Any customization at all?

1st off, I play on a 360 (may or may not matter). I have played very little of the online games but have really enjoyed the solo play/split screen play.

The 1st DLC was very well done too! 2nd DLC is coming out December 29th.

There really isn't much to decipher about the game. It is a First Person Shooter with some RPG elements. It has an OK storyline but the game is all about gun/loot gathering (similar to Diablo or Hellgate).

If you want more detail, I suggest checking some of the gaming websites for their reviews.
