Per Ken and Mickey's pre-game show last night, Red Wings' Right Wing, Daniel Cleary, is expected to return January 2nd 2010... which is only 2 games away. Cleary has 7 goals and 16 points in 30 games. His presence will boost the Red Wings' offense and will be a huge boost for the Power Play.

Ken and Mickey also said Zetterberg is way ahead of schedule and should be ready to practice with the team in 2 or 3 days. They said after he does some practices with the team, he should be ready to play NHL games shortly after. They didn't specify a return date for Zetterberg.

Great news if you're a Red Wings fan.

Ericssons knee is a bit worse than everyone first thought right? There hasnt been much news about him lately.

I've been looking at injury reports and Ericsson has been listed as 'out indefinately' I didn't realise he was banged up so seriously

Deep bone bruise is something doctors can't put a time on, which is why he's listed "out indefinitely". Deep bone is much better than a torn ACL/MCL injury. So I'm grateful it's only a deep bone bruise. I'm "guessing" he'll be out 3-4 weeks (I was hoping for 2-weeks, but that hit looked really bad). He'll be rusty but won't need to rehab.
