Carman 387 Report post Posted December 28, 2009 The Refs had zero to do with that series. Sorry zebra jockeys. Not sarcasm Maxim Talbot scored both goals, therefore clinching the Cup for his team. Sarcasm Crosby however "lead" them there, and thereMOREfore was soley responsible for the Cup coming to Pittsburgh. He's gotta shine that Conn Smythe up real nice before he passes it on to the next winner. Himself. Sarcasm Someone wanna pick the sarcasm out of that? Not sarcasm How did I do? stuck in socal 56 Report post Posted December 28, 2009 Talbot did clinch the cup. He scored both goals in game 7? How can you deny that. Crosby was injured for half the game. Talbot was the man of game 7.
Carman 387 Report post Posted December 28, 2009 OK, let's discuss how the SCF started last year, with back to back games. That favors the rested, healthy team, right? But the NHL did it for the TV money. What else would they do for the money? Also, Malkin's non-suspension. This isn't even the in-game officiating. This is league "policy". And it is fair to assume league policy trickles down to the refs. Right? Malkin's non-suspension was not a blatant example of favoritism. The way the rule is written is to discourage team's from sending out enforcers at the end of games. Malkin is not an enforcer therefore was not penalized further. Sure the back to back games hurt the Wing's, but so did having a very tough series verse the Blackhawks. More rest benefits both teams especially considering the Wing's did well in the beginning of the series.

Guest ZetterbergFourty Report post Posted December 28, 2009 Stop talking about the the last SCF. Look at where the Wings are now. . Injury riddled? It's gotta be perfectly clear to the hockey world what's going on. The Wings still have a decent chance of a playoff spot. Thanks Ber2uzzi!

thedisappearer 291 Report post Posted December 28, 2009 Stop talking about the the last SCF. Look at where the Wings are now. . Meh. Carman wants to talk how the officials didn't job us in the SCF. I provided fodder that maybe the league wanted to job us (for the record, I don't think the league wanted to f*** us, I think they needed 87 to win a Cup). His defense seems to be that it's not *that* obvious. It works in his world. He's being sarcastic. Except when he's not. But he is. Really. Just kidding. But really. Guest ZetterbergFourty Report post Posted December 28, 2009 What I'm getting out of these posts is this and it's quite obvious whats going on. Mr. Ballsama or whatever his name is has found a loophole. And it's quite simple. Instead of sending an enforcer out to be a tough guy as in this situation, send out someone like Malkin, a non-enforcer, to start s*** with the opposing players. Officials no doubt shrug it off, and presto, effect delivered without the extra bulls***. Clever son of a *****.
Theophany 110 Report post Posted December 28, 2009 Sorry if you guys started out posting retarded ideas and I just glazed over because that amount of pure stupidity in one place makes my brain fog up but... Are people really saying that they think the 09 SCF was a conspiracy against the Wings? For real?

Are people really saying that they think the 09 SCF was a conspiracy against the Wings? For real? Pittsburgh learned a thing or two about what it takes to win a Stanley Cup. They proved they learned these things by winning the series. Bottom line.

Holmstrom96 347 Report post Posted December 28, 2009 When Lidstrom retires Bertuzzi should get the C. Well, Bertuzzi can skate at a break-neck speed... wait... I think I'm confusing that with something else.
