Yay for 2010!!! Phoenix has been hot at home, as of late. Wings need to capitalize on this one. Hopefully we can take this game in regulation. These 3 point games are killing us...

Leino and Homer score and the wings win a tight one 2-1...

I hope Bertuzzi or Janik pound on Doan in this game.

With May out, it's up to them to exact revenge for Ericsson.

No May, we pay!

Someone had better step up if things get nasty. You know they will take more liberties with him out.

Seriously?

First it was a clean hit, second review the PHX vs Vancouver game. Phoenix is like a pack you go after one, they will all come out.

Recap of Vancouver game - Burrows slashed Vrbata, they scored on the ensuing powerplay and then the entire Coyotes team just started hitting everything in sight. That slash fueled the Coyotes to the win.

Best bet with a depleted line up is to play the game and just try to score and keep them out of it. Don't give them anything emotional to feed on.

It's Jimmah time!

Bert, Datz, and Jimmy Howard gets his first career goal beating Bryzgalov 5-hole with a slapper.

Doan scores when Lebda distracts Jimmy by spending his time on the ice auditioning for the US luge team. In the post game, Babcock relegates Lebda to his new chief of "finding me a new fedora."

We have got to win to keep up.

It is getting harder and harder to move up in the standings.

We were 6-3-1 in the last 10 and fell to 10th spot. What do you have to do from here on end ... play .700 hockey ??

We need a 1.00000000 record :)

A 10 game winning streak should do it.

We need a 1.00000000 record :)

We need to finish the year with somewhere around 90-93 points based on the last few years in order to get the 8th spot. 93 points represents a 0.567 winning percentage. The Wings currently have a 0.575 winning percentage. This means that they are right on the cusp of the 8th position based in historical winning percentages. And they are 3 points out of eigth position with 1 game in hand. If they win tonight, they will be 1 point out.

This means that if their winning percentage in the last 44 games improves even a little bit, they will most likely make the playoffs.

We need to come out of the next 10 games which is the toughest part of the entire schedule with at least 10 points.

This year the West looks more competitive than it was last season.

We'll likely need 100 points to assure a playoff spot.

I'm just frustrated that our injured guys take so damn long to heal. A week ago, there was talk of Kronwall and Cleary being ready by tonight. Next thing you know, they'll keep pushing this s*** back every game like we've seen in the past. I wish for once someone would return ahead of schedule.
