Having Leino in the line-up over May makes me laugh. This will be quite interesting to see Clutterbuck, Scott, and Booggard dominate our players. Scary in fact.

According to Russostrib (covers the Wild) Scott and Boogaard are scratched for tonight. Burns is in after being activated from IR. Clayton Stoner has been moved to IR.

I'm glad to see Howard in the net. As Redstorm said, he needs the chance to redeem himself after last year. That was brutal.

This is a good opportunity to start a winning streak!

LA is playing an Eastern team, added to the fact that they never lose when we need them to means they win.

So the Wings need to win to keep pace. Then again, the Wings don't seem to be able to win when an opportunity to enter the playoffs is on the line.

Add the subpar opponent goalie and this all spells doom for the Wings.

However, I've really liked their play of late, and with our stars starting to wake up (though how many times have we said that this season?) I feel good anyway.

Happy to hear that Scott and Boogard are out. Though both are generally honest players, they have the ability to eff people up like few others in the league when they feel like it. With May, we have a guy who is at least willing to take them on and get them off the ice (Boogard and Scott are both guys who would be willing to fight May, unlike Ott). since May's out, I'm thankful Scott and Boogy are out.

The game would be better with all 3 in, but oh well.

Well, we needed the Kings to lose when we lost to Washington and they did. And Eastern team or no Buffalo has been playing fairly solidly. I'd say if there's any opportunity for the Wings to hop back into the playoff picture it'll be these next two games.

The Kings are playing the Sabres and the Flames are playing the Hawks, these are very fortuitous matchups that the Wings can hopefully take advantage of. If everything goes according to plan the Wings could jump back into 7th spot, and well within striking distance of 4th place from there. Fingers crossed, gang.
