Leino has skill, but he really doesn't know how to flesh it out in this league. Haven't watched him play since he was traded, until the game against the Flyers. He still looked the same.

Funny how before the season begun there was talk about Leino being a possible Calder Trophy winner. No one would have guessed then that while that wasn't gonna happen Wings still had another rookie that was going to be pushing hard for the Calder.

That and guys like Cleary were quoted saying that fans should grab Leino asap for their fantasy teams. And when he scored that goal against St. Louis in the season opener I bet a lot of people on here really thought about it or even did it. So much hope for him and it just didn't work out.

Because he barely did anything here and people have their whipping boys.

I don't play that game and wish him nothing but the best, but Leino did very little/nothing to help his cause, so the whipping boy status is more than justified.

Just because it is one of your favorite players doesn't make it any more wrong than other players who might fall victim to this.

I'm no hippie or anything like that, but why do people even need to bash players? I rarely like it either, but it's part of the forums for better/worse so just gotta deal with it.
