Hockeytown0001 7,652 Report post Posted January 24, 2010 There must have been some kind of promotional giveaway for that section. They were all back by the middle of the 3rd.
Heroes of Hockeytown 694 Report post Posted January 24, 2010 There was a guy up in the rafters, I guess he was threatening to jump? I'm not sure, but someone was up there, so they cleared out the section in case he fell.
Zetts 236 Report post Posted January 24, 2010 I'm not sure where section 110 is, but I'm thinking you might mean the section that had the guy in the rafters of JLA hanging over it and had to be evacuated?
GMRwings1983 8,794 Report post Posted January 24, 2010 Who can blame him for jumping the way the Wings have played this year? He's a bigger fan than any of us apparently.

I'm not sure, but someone was up there, so they cleared out the section in case he fell. This. They showed it on the Kings feed.... some guy was waaay up in the rafters apparently having an argument with the security guys who were trying to get him down. It didn't delay the start of the third, but I wouldn't be happy to be one of those fans in that section who had to get cleared out. They never talked about it later on in the broadcast, so I dunno what happened.

Guest Howard He Do It?! Report post Posted January 24, 2010 Wow. How did he even get up there? That's what I would like to know. Pretty damn crafty considering the doors to the rafters are probably locked or should be anyways.

Guest Howard He Do It?! Report post Posted January 24, 2010 Talk about a major mess up. In the third period, three fans entered a restricted area on the fifth level of Joe Louis Arena, including one who gained access to a catwalk in the rafters of the building. Ushers and security officials cleared a large portion of a lower-bowl seating section for fear the individual might fall. It resulted in a slight delay at the start of the period, but Detroit police and arena security apprehended the individual. MLive
Seraph 240 Report post Posted January 24, 2010 I was watching the LA feed. The guy was wearing a Wings jersey too. The announcer said, "if he falls on the ice, the wings should get a too many men on the ice penalty..." I thought it might have been Manny Legace...
