Marty Barry 230 Report post Posted January 24, 2010 (edited) Myself, I could do without all the forced Crysby enema's the leagues gives me. Every game, no matter who's playing, I hear Crysby this, Crysby that, Crysby, Crysby, Crysby. Maybe it's Cherry(although I rip on him, he is entertaining). Blind officials when it comes to certain players? Everybody disagrees with something. How about you? Edited January 24, 2010 by Marty Barry

elriqo28 2 Report post Posted January 24, 2010 OFFICIATING. inconsistency of officiating. I wouldn't have a problem if things got called the same way all the time, but EVERYONE knows that's not the case. Ruins the game when every night on the sports highlights they have to talk about a bad call deciding a game.
Guest Howard He Do It?! Report post Posted January 24, 2010 (edited) What about it specifically don't you like? Probably that it is on Versus, which is no longer on DirecTV, instead of ESPN and that NBC treats it like s***, cough playoffs cough. The sport sees limited exposure in the US. SouthernWingsFan 854 Report post Posted January 24, 2010 Inconsistency of officiating and how calls are made. Crosby attention to a lesser degree. TV deal or lack thereof doesn't bother me as much because I still find ways to barely miss any games whether it be on TV or on my computer.
thedisappearer 291 Report post Posted January 24, 2010 Inconsistent officiating. It's getting beyond ridiculous. The TV deal. WTF? Having Crosby shoved down my throat. Yeah, I know he's a great player. I might actually like the face of the league if you didn't force me to deep throat all the time.
kook_10 1,705 Report post Posted January 24, 2010 The attention paid to officiating is what I think is s***ty these days. For better or worse, the officiating had its share of s***ty calls in the past, but ever since there have been grander discussions of rule changes it has become a "problem". Now, no matter what happens people will find "problems" with the officiating. If the rules never changed or if the current rules never change people will get over it and deal with it. The whole idea that the league has to constantly address "problems" puts in motion a moving ball that will never end. You will find as many "problems" as you go looking for. Let people acclimate to the game, not the other way around. There is no purity of sport in constant change.

luvmnger 125 Report post Posted January 24, 2010 superstars gettin a "MULLIGAN" in the playoffs...you know who linesman lettin 6 forwards play....you know who holmstrom being a target for the refs no one else getting called in our net..... blind "no goal" calls..... blind "goal" calls..... the government pulls the "wool" over our eyes...and so does the NHL face it...the wings being perennial top 3 team is not good for the NHL financially. that! angers me. thedisappearer 291 Report post Posted January 24, 2010 face it...the wings being perennial top 3 team is not good for the NHL financially. Not so sure about this. We're a guaranteed sell out, even for struggling teams. We sell tons of merchandise. The league may prefer to portray as a villian, but they prefer us to be relevant. GMRwings1983 8,789 Report post Posted January 24, 2010 I hate how good goalies are now. Hockey looks more exciting when I watch highlights of old games, where goalies are giving up shots from the blue line that would never go in now. I hate the butterfly goaltending s***.
