Who do we put on the trading block?

first off because atlanta is not going to lose kovalchuk for nothing in the off-season,and teams know they only have to offer so much or go to a biding war after the season. second the other defense man that apparently have been offered are phanuef and sopel and rafalski might be older but is still better then the both of them. if you throw in flip and a picks or something your not going to find a better offer then this

for example

phanuef-joikenen, no thanks

sopel-versteeg, no thanks again

if i was the thrashers i would rather have

rafalski-filpulla/rights to hudler or picks

and i'm not saying this is going to happen it is just an idea.cockbag

I don't know if this has been said yet:

There is no way in hell the Wings are trading the rights to Hudler after witnessing our offensive troubles this year. They'd lost Flip before Hudler.

It may not be enough in return, but betcha Holland puts in a bid for Kovalchuk...

why not trade Hudler's rights to Atanta for Kovalchuk?

You mean Hudler's Rights, Flip, Ericcson, Tatar, a 1st rounder, 2nd rounder?

I'd do it!

I think if anything it would be ok to trade Filppula if the return were a scoring winger. Probably won't happen, but I would like to see him as part of a package deal for Kovalchuk. The issue is, of course, taking on Kovalchuk's salary for the rest of THIS year. We're over the cap once everyone returns, so how we could add anyone to the roster is beyond me. You'd have to get rid of equal or more salary either way. As Holland as said, any trade will have to be dollar in, dollar out.

ya, well, I know it would take more than just Hudler's rights, but I didn't want to throw a bunch of names out there of folks who just won't be traded or nobody wants. Tartar no way....

Rafalski is better than Phaneuf?

THEN WHY TRADE HIM?

Because the 6 million dollar waste of money mother f***** has a NTC.

The Wings, not that they're aiming for him anyway, would not get Kovy before Free Agency for the above mentioned reasons. Atlanta might be interested in Flip, but we'd have to give up Kronwall as well to clear enough cap space and make it worthwhile for Atlanta.

We heard you the first time, dude, but Rafalski is going nowhere.

LOL.

No one's going anywhere...This is the team that gave Chelios, and Maltby extra years outta loyalty.

I'd be shocked if Holland acquired, or sent anyone packing.

Well if every one came off the IR including Lilly then I believe we are over ~$1.5M-$1.8M. Mickey should of kept his mouth shut a little longer so Holland could get trades in place.
