When I saw him able to stand up on the bench, I was more hopeful he was either fine, or it would just be like a sprain or something, but I'm still checking for updates. The fact that he is still a PbP guy is, funnily enough, very representative of a major issue in the NHL: even when there are major problems in the rules, and even when there are NHL staff members who just cannot get it done, the league makes no changes. How can his damaged knee bend like that and remain perfectly fine? Surely that knee is weaker than normal, and has a greater chance of being injured in the future? Kronwall did not return to the game but said he should be fine. He will be further evaluated on Monday. Recommendation: "I knew coming back I was going to get those tweaks here and there. Should be good to go," Kronwall said. "Tried to hit him, felt like he kind of came over on top of me. It’s just one of those minor tweaks, hopefully."
