Wow that was a blast! I'm working on uploading the videos I shot to you tube and I took nearly 500 photos. Zetterberg FINALLY signed my red Zee jersey.
It was a blast as usual. I got there nearly an hour ahead of the practice time and the guys were already playing soccer on the roller hockey rink.
When they started to go get changed I walked into the area where the office is and Jim Fox came out.. I can't stand him.. I smiled anyways.
As I go down the flight of stairs all the wings are walking to the locker room between the two rinks. I don't know who it was but one of the guys said to Hank - Hey look there's your jersey... then a friendly face - Drapes walked by and I said hi Drapes and he smiled and asked how I was doing. Then they got ready to take the ice. Babcock ran a much stricter aggressive practice than he did last month. I got several videos of the drills and then the last one is a messing around one between Jay and Franzen. They were basically hitting the puck in the air and bouncing it on their sticks.
During the practice center ice was nearly empty except for Lidstrom.. Lidstrom shot the puck right where I was standing and pointed at me.. it rocked! I thanked him after practice and he smiled and said you're welcome. I'm pretty sure he recognized me from the couple of times I've met him.
At any rate - brad may came out after the practice and talked to a woman who was there with her two little boys. They were darling and Brad was so nice and sincere. He gave both the boys a stick and autographed it for them. You could really see how nice and genuine he was. He invited them back to meet some of his "teammates" and the youngest boy started to cry. I volunteered to go in his place

After we stood at that draped off area for a bit and the equipment bags started making a larger and larger stack I ran upstairs, grabbed my sharpies from the car and headed out back (where the bus was waiting). I was super lucky - they only let two more people into the covered area before the roller rink exit to the bus. I wound up first in line. Zetterberg approached and I asked him to sign my jersey...and yes.. Mission ACCOMPLISHED! I'm so happy! I talked to Brett briefly, Nicky, Drapes came out and I asked to take a picture so he did.. I told him I loved him. He's so scrappy and he works so hard! At any rate... I'm working as FAST as I can to get this stuff uploaded for you all to see.
It was awesome. I sat in traffic my entire way back home because it was pouring rain.. I don't think I went over 20 mph but I had a grin on my face and it didn't matter.
Another red wing fan that was there had an umbrella and after Zee signed my jersey the guy walked me to my car - I took it off to protect it. I was like after three years of trying this bad boy is going to get framed! LOL
They were all so nice. Babcock was all business. Ken Kal was there too and he talked to Rogie Vachon.
I love these days.. they are awesome!!!!

Pictures to follow!!!
