On TSN as well!

"The more I know about people - the better I like my dog." - Mark Twain

"A wise man once told me, ‘Don’t argue with fools. Cause people from a distance can’t tell who is who'." Jay Z, Takeover

"When I was looking for a captain, I wanted a guy with the Red Wings crest tattooed on his chest," said former Detroit coach Jacques Demers, who named Yzerman captain in 1986. "Steve Yzerman was that guy."

“Told him if he wasn't ultra-competitive he couldn't come here. If he didn't bring it every day he couldn't come here, because he was going to hate it if he didn't, dislike the coach and dislike playing here.
“It's real straightforward. If you don't do it right, you're not happy here." Babcock

that sucks. i always wonder if players totally respect guys that never played. he seems like a legitimately good guy and has good mind for the game.

I thought he wanted to 'make the Red Wings bleed' this season. So much for that!

Well, they sort of have been, but not because of him.

The Jackets were tired of the exorbitant catering bills.

Yeah, I would say the way Hitchcock handled that whole thing was pretty stupid. Especially since, given how badly they are tanking, it would be a good season to get Filatov used to the NHL... oh yeah, and they could probably use the offense.

He's got lots of free time now to focus on Team Canada.

I like Ken Hitchcock. He did a great job in Dallas and a pretty bang-up job in Columbus. I absolutely disagree with the Jackets letting him go. Unless there is a cancer in the locker room that we're not hearing about, I can't see a reason to let Hitch go. Just as Columbus seemed to be making the turn towards respectability...

I'm actually surprised. Figured they would have given Hitch more time.

Well done sir, and I don't mean my steak ;)

Welcome to the playoffs....where the games get better and the officiating gets worse.
