Sure, Carcillo is goal scorer when you compare him to Flip-flop... :siren:

This is true. Epic battles have taken place between the team of ZDC and myself against RedWingsAbner. I move that ZDC is appointed President of the United Filppula Alliance, myself as VP and a lucky third to be appointed to the position of his choice...

lol I remember that thread. It went on for like 3 days of ZDC and Datsyukiandeke against Redwingabner hahah

Not gonna lie, I was a little surprised Fil pulled off that SH goal against VAN because of the notoriety of his finishing ability. It was good stuff.

I can remember way more breakaways, penalty shots and shootout attempts where he's scored than not. Val's really good when it's him on the goalie.

Crosby's Bettman Real Doll is going to get quite a workout tonight.

I wish someone had his shootout goal against MIN. That was pretty clutch too.

After which I respond how Carcillo has played 67 games and Filppula only 44.

Flip-flop, 44 GMP. +/- 18min TOI = +/- 792min
Carcillo, 68 GMP. +/- 12.5min TOI = +/- 850min

Filppula has 780:34 TOI this year, Carcillo has 760:20. But Filppula also has 50 minutes of Shorthanded TOI.

But frankly your argument is stupid. Who cares about Carcillo? Plus everyone knows Filppula is never going to be a great goal scorer. I'd be surprised if he ever tops 25 goals.

At the end, when was the last time you could say that Carcillo carried his team offensively? Ummm...never, most likely. Definitely not this year at least. His only 2 points games came on a 5-2 win over Buffalo and a 7-2 trouncing of Tampa Bay.

When was the last time you could say that about Flip? Uhh..Saturday?

What type of player he's going to be??? IMO he's 3rd line center who can play on PK. If that's the case well he's well overpaid.

For the second part - that argument can be used for Flip-flop also...

Some have said a poor man's Joe Thornton. My hope is for someone along the lines of a late-blooming Saku Koivu.

Going to be when? Maybe if he's still playing at 35 he'll only be a third line center who can play on the PK.

Right now he is a second line center who would put up 60+ points easily with competent line mates over an entire season.

Just cause you look like the gimp don't mean you play like the gimp!

Take away the 5 games Flip played on the third line and the 2 first games he played after being out for 2 months, Filppula has 25 points in the 27 games since he has been back.

He was amazing today, just amazing.

Played 24 minutes, most of ANY forwards. Brilliant offensively with a G+A, and defensively very good too.

Gun. $3 mil, yes please.

Ken Holland: Hes (Mursak) a young guy, provides energy, can skate, hes a puck hound.

Actually, I like to think myself an honest individual so that isn't quite accurate. In 2 of the 5 games I took out for him playing on the third line, he did score 3 of those points. So I guess 22 points in 27 games. 67 point pace.

I guess he's still overpaid.

The top threads on this forum are a joke. We should be talking about how awesome our own players were tonight.

Let's take just this game as exemple - he's on pace for 82 goals... :)

You are probably right... I'm might be hard on Flip-flop cause I think that he can be better, I may be wrong...
