Do I detect a hint of sarcasm?

Haha, I'm sure they would. As far as I know, the Yankees are the only team that imposes a grooming policy.

No one is ever sarcastic on the internet. It is always SRS BZNZ.
"If you didn't know him, and saw him without hockey gear, you'd never suspect Datsyuk to be a world-class athlete. He walks a bit hunched over. His gait is somewhat crab-like, almost like he's still skating, even on dry land.
But put him on skates and he's Houdini on ice. He is not the fastest skater by a long shot, but there can't be too many who are stronger or more flexible. Checking him has to feel like checking Gumby. You might get a piece of him, but he bounces away, moving faster thanks to the leverage he gained from your check."

Damon's still putting up fairly solid numbers for a guy in his role at his age. I think part of the worry is that everyone is expecting a decline.
edited for clarification.

If im not mistaken, i think he was at pace for 1 homerun for every 14 at bats. Thats pretty good for a decent power hitter. Yankees are just playing smart baseball. They didnt commit to a major league contract, but they know that if he heats up in the minors hes a mid season call up or a late season/post season call up for sure.

Agreed to an extent. Damon can't be any worse than Guillen is in left and the Tigers desperately need a leadoff hitter. If nothing else, they have Raburn/Thomas as defensive replacements.
I would be very happy with Johnny Damon coming to the Tigers.
