Olympics

Ok let me get this straight. They say this is the warmest hosting for a Winter Olympics in the history of the Olympics. They've had numerous problems with not getting snow. They actually had to fly it in. They are having major problems with the alpine ski course due to warm, rainy, s*** weather. A guy dies in a practice luge run yesterday. One of the American skiers suffers a bad accident during one their practice runs the other day. And one of the 4 Olympic torches malfunctions and doesn't get lit. Also almost al of the performers were noticeably lipsyncing badly. Did I miss anything? Andwe haven't even started any events yet.

Who's going to make the first genuine reference to global warming? I'm super cereal.

Yeah I'd like to see someone try!! Especially when all the lower 49 states in the US are covered in snow! They could a had the Olympics in Atlanta again this time. They got more snow than Vancouver today!!!! :hehe:

I'll bite.

If you think that climate change has nothing to do with the fact that there is barely any snow in Vancouver in February, then I fear you may be a complete and utter moron.

true science actuallty shows we are closer to an ice age than global warming. But you can keep reading the new york times until they are officially bankrupt.

 I'm with you!

also more climate stuff on Vancouver.

The climate of Vancouver, British Columbia is a moderate oceanic climate (Koppen climate classification Cfb) tempered by the warm Japan Current. The city is also sheltered by the mountains of Vancouver Island, to the west. These influences contribute to making Vancouver the second warmest (after Victoria) of Canada's major cities overall, despite the fact summers are cooler than most other major cities.[1]

I'm sure that's why most scientists agree that there is climate change, and why we've just experienced the warmest decade on record.

Hehe. Only you can make a statement like that look cute.

Luckily I'm not a moron. At least according to the above criteria.

Yeah there is climate change but the trend is cooler. sorry! It's been proven the numbers have been screwed with by NASA and all temperature reporting stations over the last 30 yrs.

Normally my instincts would cause me to write a 5 page paper as to why this statement is completely lost.....but i feel like all you would have to do is spend 2 minutes on google instead of reading billboards you casually drive by to form your opinion.

Guest Howard He Do It?!

I noticed the lip-syncing too. It looked really bad. Then nothing goes right for the torch lighting ceremony, the most important part of the ceremony. Then we get to watch Gretzky drive down a parade route with a bunch of idiots trying to get on tv by running along side the car he was riding in. It was all very strange and seemed very unorganized.
