Happy for Stevie. Babs, eh. But Stevie, good for him. He's a true winner.

This is the bright side. Steve Yzerman, the Captain, put together a gold medal team. Hopefully this doesn't fast track him on his way to being GM. Stevie needs to stick around.

I was actually talking about the actual countries, but yup.

Canada better enjoy this, it's a good cover for the fact that no Canadian wants to admit: Canada hasn't won the Stanley Cup since 1993.

Now that the Americans lost, you have to take aim at something else, eh?

This is all their country really cares about, so it would make sense that they'd win this sport.

Still, it'd be nice to have won this game to give USA hockey a boost, since most Americans seem to know s*** about the sport. Also, I didn't want to see their retards like Crosy, Pronger, Perry, etc. win, let alone have that fruit score the damn goal.

Stevie needs to stick around.

He's going to want experience and he's not going to be THE GM in Detroit. Unless the Wings throw out their hierarchical policy in which Jimmy Nill would be the next logical choice when Kenny leaves then Stevie deserves to go elsewhere for a little bit. I wouldn't mind it but only if he comes back.

That was a great game, very worthy of the gold medal. Congrats to Canada and good for their fans. I can't ever remember a silver medal feeling this good. USA Hockey made a lot of strides and have considerably closed the gap on Canada and Russia. I'm very very proud of the effort by the US team. A silver and they beat the Canadians in Canada, a big win to help build a program on. I also like the style the US plays internationally using the speed game.

Congrats to Canada

Very well done America

Wow..now thats a VERY classy american fan.

I am very happy for Stevie, Babcock, Filpulla, and yeah - Selanne, since it's probably his last Olympics.

I am very proud of all the American players, especially Ryan Miller. I did not think our guys could win a medal and I'm thrilled for them.

Somebody already said it. They (indeed) played their asses off for a chance at the gold and almost did it.

I bow in their general direction. :notworthy:

I really hope mr babcock isn't too pleased with this gold and go right back at it on monday and do not feel good about himself because his team is out of the playoffs atm.

Maybe you'll learn something from him and actually make intelligent posts, instead of stupid smiley faces and talking aimless s*** about Bertuzzi being a killer or whatever.

That's asking too much.

It's a shame people like Electrophile keep their facade up on these forums.

This is a real opportunity to be herself, and she is blowing it.

Can't you tell? She is a miserable person.

CROSBY, PERRY, PRONGER, NIEDERMAYER, GETZLAF ALL ******* CHAMPIONS. Olympics, Stanley Cup... you name it.
