patrick kane: great olympics

kaney was great i could not have been more proud of him, he performed very well and was at the heart of all of our attacks. i have gained a lot of respect for him tbh i think he put usa on his back in the final, he controlled the puck so beautifully at times and his decision making was great. it reminds me of datsyuk last year when he was better. and his d was good people have said he was lazy before but he was the best player for usa on offense and even on d he was great.

overall i respect him much more, before i thought he was agressive especially after the taxi incident but i think he has turned over a new leaf and is a top player

In all seriousness, Kane did grow a little bit on me, but I still don't like him very much.

Still a one dimensional player, but he had a great back check on that Crosby break away.

Overall I'd give him a solid B.

Kane can disappear for large stretches of time during games. He did have a good run at the Olympics and looked more defensively responsible than usual.

Kane looked pretty good out there but I still can't stand him... for me, Toews showed that he is going to be a great player in the years to come. Every time he was out there, he made something happen.

He played very well this tournament, and for once I agree with the opinion that he is an elite talent (I always knew he had the potential, but still thought of him as developing). While he did exceed my expectations on the Ice, I still would never want him on the Wings (though I'd take Toews in a heartbeat).

For whatever reason, annoying mouth guard habit and all, he's one of my favourite non Wings. Got really involved in the final few games the Americans played and had a strong game today with an assist on the goal that forced OT.

Great young player.
