He proved a hell of a lot after even the management seemed to be preparing to write him off by the the trade deadline. He's definitely got some things to work on, but he's had a hell of a rookie year and if he stays focused, balances the pressure and works hard in the off-season and continuing into next season to keep improving and developing, he's got a lot of potential to have a real bright career.
Again, any way it winds up, it's been a hell of a rookie year and even if it doesn't end as well as it's gone at some points, there are a tremendous amount of positives for him to build on heading into next season.
So who's the MVP? Howard. No doubt about it.

To say otherwise is to ignore the most obvious interpretation of MVP. Without Howard, this team is deep in the toilet. We might actually make the playoffs because of him.

Holland didn't have much of a choice on that matter.
Holland had the option to let Howard go and re-sign Conklin.
Conklin was looking for a steep price tag (for the role he was meant to play) and after all the time the Wings spent trying to get Howard NHL ready they needed to at least see if he could play.
Conklin openly said that he would take a pay cut in order to stay in Detroit.
I advise that you do research before speaking strongly on a subject, rather than talking out of your behind.

Source, please?
I suggest that you back up your arguments before accusing others of talking out of their ass.
Even if you are right, you can cut the "holier than thou" attitude. Not necessary.
