Babcock somewhat disagrees in attitude.

"I wouldn't mind feeling more tension or anxiety in this room," Wings coach Mike Babcock said after the team's optional morning skate Thursday.

"These guys think they're in (the playoffs). If you talk to them, they just believe they're getting in. That's great, but the bottom line is the only way we're getting in is if we start playing better."

...

"I'm talking playing a full 60 minutes," Babcock said. "We need to put a run together. Are we capable, sure? But the intensity level and how hard we play has to pick up. We met about that yesterday again. Eventually you can't just meet about it you have to do something about it.

"We need to run the table," Babcock added.

He made some pretty good points, but Babs is right they need to play a full 60 mins if the want to ninja a playoff spot, which I think they can do. On a side note, that picture of Drapes is pretty intimidating.

The next game against Calgary will most likely prove if the Wings will be able to make the playoffs.

If they blow a lead like they did last time, they won't have the tenacity to finish off the season in a playoff spot.

Exactly, I think the "fear" other teams may have is based on past years. They gotta prove themselves during the stretch for me to believe that anyone would fear them now.

Spot on.

I've said this before, but teams like Phoenix, LA and Vancouver were in the same boat a month ago, and they pulled away because of winning streaks.

Calgary looks like they're on a streak now, and we have to end it when we play them next week. This team needs to go on a run because even winning 3 out of 5 may not be enough right now.
