With all those injuries im sure Franzen would have tons of ice time and be on the 1st PP the entire time. But who knows, it slowed down our other guys.Even if he was not injured wings still had tons of other injuries and in november/december/january etc when they had ritola, newbury, janik etc up it wasnt very pretty...would not have been easy to play

Missing 11 games - on pace for 39.He only scored 34 last year with a pretty deadly lineup offensivly...
Then there's the 25 goals in 39 playoff games - which is just unbelievable.
Certainly happy he is back in the lineup, he is having a huge impact on every game and it's nice to see someone other than Bertuzzi out there throwing some mass around.

I think 40 goals from Franzen would be reasonable with a healthy season.
Agreed. And Mick says this seemingly every broadcast.

It'd be hard for him to score 50 playing with GR players all over the lineup.

I can see 35-40 goals out of him in a healthy season.

I don't think he would have scored 50, not that he's not capable but because when we are healthy we roll 4 lines more than any other team. I think thats why we never see a 50 goal scorer and i'll take the depth over one superstar any day.

Agreed. There is no way Mule would have scored 50. Does he have the ability, Yes. But with our philosophy of rolling 4 lines it makes us more dangerous so that we dont have to rely on one player scoring 50. Depth will take us further in the playoffs than 1 superstar. Besides if that 1 superstar cools off, then you're screwed. At least this way you've got 9+ other guys who have potential to score.

If he could keep his playoff mode on during the whole season then he probably could hit 50.
I don't mean to be a **** or anything, I'm just asking; Does anyone ever play like that?
