wingsdiehard13 33 Report post Posted March 14, 2010 Yeah, I'm watching. His hit was a bit wreckless, but I'm not sure it deserved a game.

MacK_Attack 108 Report post Posted March 14, 2010 Didn't the NHL warn Ovechkin that he was going to get suspended for his next boarding major?....or something along those lines.
Carman 387 Report post Posted March 14, 2010 (edited) Ovechkin is such a cheap player. Just goes around cheapshotting people and hiding behind refs. It makes me sick to think there are actually people that like how he plays. It's disgusting. Edited March 14, 2010 by Carman
Wings_Toledo 233 Report post Posted March 14, 2010 Ovechkin is such a cheap player. Just goes around cheapshotting people and hiding behind refs. I'm sick there are actually people that like how he plays. It's disgusting. I know right? He would be so much more respectable if he dove all the time and cried when things don't go his way. Get out, Sidney. 3 SiLkK19, Frozen-Man and acidroach420 reacted to this

Carman 387 Report post Posted March 14, 2010 I know right? He would be so much more respectable if he dove all the time and cried when things don't go his way. Get out, Sidney. Why even bring up Crosby? Are you going to try and defend Ovechkin? How many times is Ovechkin going to get away with an unintentional borderline hit, it's not like he's never did anything wrong before?
brett 1,029 Report post Posted March 14, 2010 (edited) Way to promote yourself NHL. Kick the best player in the world out of the game. haha my thoughts exactly game became way way less interesting with ovie gone the hit push was dangerous no doubt. but not a game misconduct Edited March 14, 2010 by brett 1 SiLkK19 reacted to this
Carman 387 Report post Posted March 14, 2010 Way to promote yourself NHL. Kick the best player in the world out of the game. Because the NHL controls Ovechkin's actions or anything. It's not their fault the player has no respect.

How many times is Ovechkin going to get away with an unintentional borderline hit, it's not like he's never did anything wrong before? Crosby was brought up because your views are obviously very bias. You stick up for Crosby all the time, why cant he do the same for Ovechkin? Realistically, someone that hits a lot is not much worse than someone who dives a lot.
Carman 387 Report post Posted March 14, 2010 (edited) How did he get away with it? He got 5 and a game. Get away in the sense of the media and fans. It seems no one wants to hold him accountable for his actions. Crosby was brought up because your views are obviously very bias. You stick up for Crosby all the time, why cant he do the same for Ovechkin? Realistically, someone that hits a lot is not much worse than someone who dives a lot. This. Has. Nothing. To. Do. With. Crosby. And I defend Crosby because I do believe that whining and diving is less serious then potentially ending players careers on a laundry list of borderline hits. But again, let's focus on Ovechkin. I do not want to talk about Crosby. Edited March 14, 2010 by Carman
Guest Howard He Do It?! Report post Posted March 14, 2010 That hit was 5 and a game? Wow. Complete overreaction. Get away in the sense of the media and fans. GMRwings1983 8,794 Report post Posted March 14, 2010 I'm glad "ginger boy" Bryan Campbell got hit. He was running his mouth off last year about Kronwall's hit on Havlat. Take that *****!
edicius 3,269 Report post Posted March 14, 2010 Stupid play by Ovechkin. And proof that the league isn't afraid to suspend stars in the league...as long as they're the "right" stars to suspend.

Or the said player has a pretty long list of past offenses that were pretty serious...

MacK_Attack 108 Report post Posted March 14, 2010 Anyone other player in the league and that is just a minor penalty. Maybe a double minor. Maybe, but when a player builds a reputation for dirty hits like that, then the punishment increases. It's like committing a crime. Lighter punishment the first time around, but keep committing the crime and the punishment gets worse.
