Weak boarding call was a push not a tackle, anyone know how severe the injury was?

I have to say I have been watching for the past 10 minutes and this game is boring as f*** without Ovechkin out there. I can only imagine what it is like for non-hockey fans.

While not having a player of Ovechkin's caliber hurts. I believe that neither team is actually playing for something is the bigger reason. The game wasn't even that entertaining in the beginning either.

This is hockey were there is hitting. If you don't like it go watch girls hockey.

Show me the part where I said I dont like hitting, I cant seem to find it.

Bottom line, that was a careless dirty play by Ovechkin. There is no point in trying to defend him.

Just ignore Carman. He feeds off of attention and will do everything in his power to act like he's not continuing the Crosby vs. Ovechkin debate even when he's clearly doing so.

See this is what I don't get.

I did not start talking about Crosby at all in this thread.

I thought Ovechkin performed yet another dirty play and was baffled that there were people defending him.

Man some people are insane.

With everything Crosby aside, I competely agree with you here. Why even bother trying to debate the hit...

So just because I like Crosby I have no credibility?

You are being ridiculous. Let's just talk about Ovechkin, unless you have nothing else to defend him with besides pointing at my Crosby stance and say I have no credibility?

Because many people are now aware of your schtick, do you really expect to be judged fairly whenever you talk about Ovechkin? Hockey fans in general can't talk about Ovechkin without Crosby. "You see that goal by Ovechkin last night? It was awesome. He's such a great player... better than Crosby." It's an everlasting debate of who's better. You can't simply isolate one without the other in common talk. It may be 'unfair' to you and you may not like it, but that's just the way it is. Those are simply the consequences of hitching yourself so strongly to one player. Whether you like it or not, you've pegged yourself for people's judgment.

Don't you all think Joel Quenneville looks like Emiliano Diez (Cuban actor, probably most famous for his role on George Lopez's sitcom)

Diez

The only noticeable difference is the eye color

Wow. I love it when teams other than Detroit choke away 3-goal leads. Especially in the 3rd period. And especially Quenneville-coached teams like Chicago.

Niemi to blame for any of them? Please say yes. :D

Maybe Quenneville is a morph of Deiz and our Mickey. Or more likely Deiz is a morph of Mickey and Q.

The best that can happen to you when you play against Caps is that Ovechkin gets thrown out early in the game. Still Hawks are having big trouble.

What I like in both of these teams is that no matter how strong they are with all these stars they are still goaltended by the likes of Theodore and Huet.

Something is off on this team (Blackhawks). Maybe its the goaltending or a simple leadership issue, I don't know... I just can't see them taking it all this year. Mind you, I like our chances even less this year, oh well.
